Ed Westwick (born June 27, 1987 in Stevenage Hertfordshire, England) is a British actor who stars as Chuck Bass on the television series Gossip Girl. He has also appeared in television series such as Doctors where he played Holden Edwards, Casualty where he played Johnny Cullin, and afterlife where he appeared as guest playing Darren. His film credits include Children of Men, Breaking and Entering, and Son of Rambow. Ed attended Barclay School, Stevenage from 1998-2003.

I think that with Dan he doesn't feel like he has to be better than him becasue he knows he is so he is more comfortable about opening up to him about different things. Dan doesn't intimidate Chuck so he is able to be the real him. Whether its him being a jerk or him being sad and lonely.
