I hope we can get through this one quite quickly, although I always love the first page of a new thread because it's a good excuse to stare at Gill's amazing *underwear* manip!

I wish we'd had a scene like that in the show. I still think that in The Sleeping Beauty, Ryan should have come out of the bathroom in his underwear or a towel. Taylor would have probably muttered a lot more than just *Easy, girl*.

She was too funny getting all dressed up like that to go drop papers off for Kirsten early in the morning. I love when she took the coat off and fixed her hair. Kirsten, Seth and Sandy were too funny watching her. Sandy and his "she thinks Ryan is funny" line was great!

I looked through a few of the episodes. They are hysterical. In the Dream Lover....love the nicknames for everyone. The annoying red haired lady in the bookstore, the comments made on her are great. I couldn't believe it when I first saw HM. He wasn't a bit like I thought he'd be and I can't see how Taylor could have fallen for him at all. He was actually rather creepy. And when you saw him and Ryan together it kind of enhanced HM's creepiness even more. That is so true, and Taylor definitely realised that - especially when she saw the two of them together. Taylor did get quite annoying while HM was around but I think she just appreciated HM's flattery, especially as at the time Ryan was having a hard time verbalising his feelings for her. I think Taylor was used to HM always saying flattering things to her, and she kind of missed Ryan's more subtle approach.

He was so proud of her on *Je Pense*. I wish she'd seen his face.

TSU was such a great episode. I love when he helped her up the stairs and to bed. Unfortunately, we missed her singing to her Prince Eric. LOL. That would have been hysterical to see or at least have heard Ryan's version of what happened. The bad Taylor speech was awesome. Considering how short S4 was, and after what had happened at the end of S3, it's a real credit to Ben, Autumn, Josh and the writers that they created such an awesome, realistic and believable couple who appealed to a very diverse fanbase. Not all the show's couples had the love of so many fans and of so many TV critics at the same time. Imagine what it could have been like if we'd had the start of Townwood in an earlier season, or we'd have had a S5 and been waiting for the start of S6.

I think they should have done what OTH did and have it four years later after they finished college as S5. Townwood could have been reunited from France and Berkeley and Seth and Summer would be back on the west coast and Sophie would be growing up. I am getting into the fics a lot more now. It's a good way to stop missing them so much. The Townwood fic writers are so talented. And so are the Townwood art and vid makers. It's amazing how creative people can be when there are relatively few Townwood clips and screencaps available compared to the other couples.

The Swells was on yesterday on Soapnet. Love S3 Townwood. Taylor had Ryan working the lock in and the cute scene in the school lounge. Today is The Anger Management. The hallway scene is my favorite S3 scene. The parking lot one is pretty good too though.

I definitely like your theory on the casting of HM! I think Josh got it a bit wrong there, and should have switched the two actors around, for definite. Mind you, we would probably all have fallen for HM then and it would have made things a bit too complicated. A bit like how a lot of RM/Marissa fans also really liked Trey and Volchok.

The Swells is a really cute Townwood episode. Taylor should have organised a private lock-in for herself and Ryan :)

I really wish she'd taken more notice of Ryan in *that* way during S3. She only really talked to him as a means of getting to Seth. At least in S4 she acknowledged that she had noticed him after all and had thought that he was good for a bit of rough and tumble fun.

Your right most of her conversations with Ryan in S3 are in regards to Seth. She just had the wrong brother at first. In The Party Favour she asks him for money for the after prom and was glad he could find himself a date for the prom. LOL. He still looks at her crazy. In one of the group pictures from the prom they are both looking at one another though.

It was a great scene with really cute dialogue, especially when Taylor is joking with him about him hating her in S3. Ben and Autumn played that really well. Seeing Ryan still being reserved with her, yet not being able to resist a smile and a joke. He really started warming to her during that evening, and he liked her enough by then to be concerned that he'd hurt her a bit when she overheard him and Seth. And then the kiss just confirmed what he'd started to suspect. That he really liked her.

I loved how at the end of the dance, they both stood there and there was that awkwardness about what to do next.

That was really cute how they didn't know what to do next. The music had stopped, but they still wanted to be together. He finally asked her about a drink. He did feel bad about her overhearing the comment to Seth. Seth made up for it though by encouraging Taylor not to be a quitter and go back and try again. He knew Ryan smiling and laughing was a rarity when he watched them on the dance floor.

Ryan was so cute and he was funny telling a joke.

I think Seth knew that Taylor was exactly the sort of person Ryan needed at that stage. And I think he also knew that if Taylor was obsessing over Ryan, she wouldn't be obsessing over him, so there was probably a bit of an ulterior motive there!

But once Seth saw them together properly and got used to the idea, he became a serious Townwood shipper. I think he also appreciated Taylor's support for both him and Summer.

Exactly. Seth was a big supporter when they were in Berkeley and he asked Ryan something to the effect of "Is there antoher Taylor Townsend" and at Kirsten's birthday party he was giving Ryan a ride so "he could tell Taylor he loved her"

Summer was a big Townwood shipper as well. She knew by the stuffed animal gift how Ryan felt and the book of poems.

Yeah, I loved Seth at Berkeley. His whole conversation about how Ryan might meet someone else, oh wait there isn't anyone else, there's only one Taylor Townsend and you're in love with her. Seth completely knew the truth about how hard Ryan had fallen for Taylor and that no-one else would ever come close.

And Summer was a good friend to both Taylor and Ryan. I think she was always willing to help and be supportive, partly because that was just how Summer was and partly because she was grateful to Taylor for helping her with Seth. Summer was so funny when Taylor was ranting about the bear, and then Summer told Taylor that Ryan had never done anything like that before.

And it was funny the way Seth and Summer both smirked knowingly when Todd was going on about christening the bedroom and Townwood looked guilty.

Seth and Summer were great Townwood supporters. Ryan and Taylor were both very supportive of them as well. Ryan from the begining and Taylor after she got over her crush on Seth, helped them in both S3 and S4.

Seth and Summer so knew it was Ryan and Taylor who christened the room. I think everyone else knew who it was though also.

Townwood and Seth/Summer were a good foursome. I think Ben, Autumn, Adam and Rachel all interracted well, especially during the more comedic stuff. I think the chemistry between the four of them was exceptionally good at the beginning of The My Two Dads when Seth and Summer were engaged and regretting it.

Seth wasn't the biggest one in the beginning, but he became a big supporter after The Summer Bummer.
Summer: Really helped out Taylor with her Taylor-esque plans.

Kirsten, Kaitlin, and Julie: Had advice for both of them every now and then

And I also enjoyed S4's Fab 4. Though I liked S1-S3's Fab4 and S4's Fab4 equally, they had pretty nice balance and dynamic. My favorite episode for them has to be The Earth Girls Are Easy. I loved how Summer/Taylor and Ryan/Seth helped each other with the whole pregnancy scare, alien rave, and Zirknog? Lmfao. I can't remember his name even if he spelled it. Gah, good times.

But that's actually also one thing that made Townwood so different from the Marissa-drama, he didn't have to stand up for her and defend her honor all the time, 'cause despite her being completely crazy, she was independent and so drama-free that it allowed Ryan to grow. He really matured and grew into himself with her, which is what made them so special!
