FanBolt is going to be on location with the Atlanta midnight release party at Wordsmiths Books in Decatur, GA.

Here's a little information on the event:

----------------------------

Wordsmiths Books invites those on both sides of the Edward/Jacob split to join in a night of festively awkward high school merriment and ghoulishly macabre fun in celebration of the release of the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer’s acclaimed and beloved Twilight Series, Breaking Dawn, with The Black and Red Prom.

Beginning at 10 PM on Friday, August 1 and lasting ‘til the Witching Hour, Wordsmiths Books will be transformed into a gothic fantasy wonderland prom setting, decked out entirely in black and red. Themed food treats and drinks suitable for all ages (teens and their equally-awkward parents!) will be readily available (including cookies for fans on both sides of the vampire/werewolf split, and the in-house invented “crepuscular cookie” oozing red filling); games, activities, and giveaways will be plentiful; and awkward high school prom dancing will be encouraged. For the latter, suitably appropriate, danceable goth music will be spun by the Your Twilight Moms Deejay Collective, and live local band The Wayne Fishell Experiment will be re-inventing themselves as Ferosha Akoustika for a special live set of fun-indie-folk-goth-pop leading up to the midnight on-sale of Breaking Dawn, the most hotly anticipated book of the year.

Black and red attire is requested of those attending Wordsmiths Books Black and Red Prom, and entry to the event is free. RSVPs are requested, though, by emailing the number of attendees to prom@wordsmithsbooks.com.

We're going to be bringing prizes to give away as well (all of which will be related to the Twilight cast!). Wordsmiths and Hot Topic are also giving away some awesome prizes. So if you're in the ATL, be sure to drop by. I'll be there along with some other people that you might recognize the names of if you read the reviews on the site!

We'll be doing some interviews with fans for a feature here on the site and also celebrating in the madness!

Hope to see you guys there!

Why, oh why did I just get a job? I would have gone! Plane tickets are a lot, I would have driven. 18 hours is noooothing for Breaking Dawn.

This is a great idea, Emma!
I'm sure you will be able to reel in a few potential newbies to the site, too!

I wish I lived closer and wasn't camping, cause I would join the party.
