Continuing on the conversation...
Yeah, I love Pottercast. Mugglecast can be entertaining at times, but it does get old after a few times....
I preordered it on Barnes and Noble, cause they're my usual. :)

 @ the title.
Never listened to Pottercast, I guess cause I got used to the Mugglecast people but even that I only listen to when some big event happens like HBP getting pushed back.

 nice, Helen, I meant replacing "HP OT" for "POT", but that work too.
Gah, I've been sick all week and now that I'm almost normal I catch a cold. Unfortunate.

Sorry Dany. Colds suck and I hate getting sick myself. There's something going around at the house I'm living at with my bff so cheers.

 I liked the title this way. heehee..
Oh, I hope you feel better, Dany! I hate having colds. *hug to make you feel better*
I just preordered The Office S4...I think I may need to stop shopping online. I'm going to have no money by the time I have to pay my rent...

I buy too many books, too many shoes, too many iTune songs...I have a problem. We should start Online Shoppers Anonymous.
BellaBlack

I have never bought anything huge online. I'm kinda glad..I've heard too many scam stories or like what you guys have said  I'd probably be addicted to it..I've only bought iTunes stuff and ordered a dress with my gift card

I bought my tickets for Wicked. Oh, and my David Copperfieled DVD. Not very much...

I'm constantly on Barnes and Noble's website. It's not good for me to find used books for only 1.99 plus shipping and handling, cause then there goes my entire paycheck.

Welcome to the club! And the coolest boards of FB :hehe:. Well, we try, when we can be online :-p.
Tell us more about what you think of the books! And have fun, you have an awesome fandom to discover :).

We definitely are the coolest boards. :D
So, my internet at home isn't working. :( I really should buy my own internet instead of using unprotected wireless networks...hmm. Perhaps I should do that soon...
Oh well.
and these roofer guys keep coming and working on the roof right above my room when I'm trying to sleep. No where else in the apartment is having the roof banged so hard that it feels like an earthquake - just my room. Damn them and their roof tools too.
I'm gonna have to start sleeping in the living room if this keeps up, cause I'm so tired, I don't know how I'm supposed to concentrate at work.
BellaBlack
08-29-2008, 02:23 PM
Aww sorry bout the roofers Helen :( and I use wireless unless I go to the library although the other house comp was fixed so yay
Welcome to the sometimes crazy yet loveable HP boards! :bgrin: I dig fast readers
Helen Weasley
08-29-2008, 08:31 PM
Like me, who read DH in 6 hours? :D
The roofers need to die. I still say they need to die, cause I want to kill them for making me so tired for so many days in a row...
If I ever run into those roofers in a dark alley, they're gonna wish they never roofed...
 is "roofed" a word? I don't think it is.
BellaBlack
08-30-2008, 06:42 PM
I read it in 6.5 hours so you beat me but I can still dig it
Helen Weasley

Cool, I win! :D Not that it was a competition....but I still win.
Okay, you guys, it's random, it's funny, and I figure you'll appreciate it....I took a reservation for a guy with the last name of Snape yesterday!  I had to push the mute button on my phone quickly when I got his name, cause I burst out in laughter....
I wonder if his wife's name is Lilly. ;)
BellaBlack
08-30-2008, 08:39 PM
 the guy might be used to your type of reaction..that'd be creepy if his wife was a Lily though.
Helen Weasley
08-30-2008, 09:52 PM
Yeah, I would've said something HP to him, but all the calls are recorded, and I could get in trouble for that type of thing. If I could have, I would've been like, "Oh my God, your first name isn't Severus, is it??"

Me needs to download a video editor, tips (something light and easy, hopefully)? It's been a loooong time since I used anything other than Movie Maker and it really sucks. And I keep forgetting YT ****s with the .wmv files, why must I be so dumb?
Helen Weasley
08-31-2008, 06:32 PM
 I have no idea what any of that is.
I know photoshop, and that's about it...
i'm so addicted to this Allen and Craig show. Seriously, you guys should all watch it. They also do stuff like the Batman trailer spoof and Twilight trailer spoof...it's all so hilarious.

thanks for the welcome guys, yeah i think if i didnt have to go to work and stuff i would have got through them all in about a week coz if i had my way i would have just kept reading!

It's all about file formats and nice editors, Helen. I used to have an ok one, but now I'm stuck with Movie Maker. This shitty program doesn't even have a "add subtitles option". It was stupid enough back when I tried to come up with "creative" videos that are completely useless, but I sent my Bulgarian family a few videos from Grandma's birthday and not only the videos are badly edited, YT also ****s up with them because the format doesn't go well there :(.
Ah, we all know what you've gone through :D, HP is a pretty exciting saga and it manages to be fun/smart at the same time as it is a light reading, which makes it easy to fall in love with. And once you become a part of the fandom, you have so much fun that it's almost like HP has a part of your life instead of the other way around .
Physics will kill you, don't get near it!

I downloaded Sony awhile ago, it's pretty good, I still don't know how to do all the amazing effects people do but it works.
I didn't welcome you, daves angel (what name do you go by?) so welcome! Yes, we are obviously very obsessed with HP in here but no matter how much you want to put into them, they're amazing books, suspense-filled and fun. And the movies are good too. You're lucky in that you can read all the books now and don't have to wait to find out what happens like we did!
Physics labs weren't bad.. But anyway I'm totally taking bio this year, how is that?
Helen Weasley
09-01-2008, 06:59 PM
 I never got as far as even chemistry back in high school. We didn't need any more science credits after biology to graduate, so I was like, "Dude, no more science, and I can still graduate! Hell yeah!" So I don't know the pain of having to take physics.
Oooh...okay, the movie maker thing makes a little more sense now.
BellaBlack
09-01-2008, 09:49 PM
Farthest I got was chemistry..not my strongest subject, science. I am gonna take bio classes only in college otherwise I will not do good.
zealousheart
09-02-2008, 01:31 PM
 you guys are lucky. My school has a science requirement with a lab every year and a weird thing where we take physics first then chem then bio or chem again depending on the level of the class. So yeah...it's annoying cause I'm totally more of an English person.
danyjoncew
09-02-2008, 03:18 PM
We can't choose which classes to take in "high school" here, the subjects are all compulsory, apart from, usually, foreign language and labs if you go to a tech school. Our education sucks hard enough already, but I envy your labs the most, they're either pretty non-existent in most Brazilian schools or not taken advantage of by the teachers. Then when we get to Uni we're lost :D.
As much as I love science I get pretty tired of living in Math & Physics land here and there. I miss writing, History classes, Geopolitics... gah, I want to know everything there is to know in the world :(.
Helen Weasley
09-02-2008, 03:28 PM
I probably could use a refresher in Geography..I always feel so stupid at my job anytime someone says a city and I'm like...er...what state is that in? I get it all the time. I should just memorize every city in the world. It'd make my life so much easier.
Of course, it also would be easier if people didn't each so much dumbass (cause you are what you eat. get it? hahaha).
zealousheart
09-03-2008, 10:04 AM
, I never ever was taught Geography except once in History when we had to memorize the countries of the world and I forgot it the next day. Never states or capitals or anything. I feel kinda deprived.
And yeah Dany labs are cool, that sucks that you can't choose. Then again it's pretty much the same here till the last year. It's like there's all these art, writing, other electives but you only have room to take advantage of them when your leaving or if you aren't heading to uni.
Helen Weasley
09-03-2008, 07:49 PM
I always forgot the capital names the next day too. They just never really stuck in my head the way things should...
I'm so psyched, the Dr. Horrible soundtrack is on iTunes now! :D Yea! I love that soundtrack. It kicks serious ass.

 I didn't get what you meant till I enlarged the image.
But that's sad. I hope you find the Potter end, cause what's Harry without a Potter?
zealousheart
09-06-2008, 01:04 PM
Harry without a Potter is just a person who hasn't shaved. ;) (Hairy, bad joke I know.)
Where'd you get that keychain anyway? It's awesome.

Of course, the fact that I had about 4 hours of sleep last night is making me giggle at lots of not-funny things...

Didn't find Potter. It's Harry! Just Harry!
I'm pretty excited for "Harry, a History", my copy should get here soon. And then BatB!!!
