I have just finished the book and i absolutely hate it. I have no intention of reading breaking dawn just because the ending was soo unrealistic. I would say what i exactly hate about it but i don't want to spoil anyone :-)

btw,i searched fo a topic like this and i couldn't find it,so if there is already a topic like this or if it was wrong of me to post it here, mods are free to delete it :)

Shocking news...Eclipse is probably my favourite. Though I love them all, in their own ways.

Funny how EXTREME people's feelings are about Eclipse & New Moon. I think it all depends on expectations & the variances in our own personal tastes. I think Stephanie is a very consistant writer, & I embraced each novel with the ferver in which I'm sure she wrote them. None were BAD to me, just some were THAT MUCH better.

You have to read the entire series to fully appreciate it.

haha, paolo nutini is indeed great,i'm looking forward to his new album :D

but you gotta admit that eclipse was waay out there, very unrealistic. I mean what boyfriend forgives his girlfriend that easily for cheating? The whole serieus is unrealistic! First bella is very unpopular in her old school but when she comes to forks everyone just adores her? and what about edward already spying at her at night? Don't you think that's a tad too creepy?

I guess i just found out that the twilight series is actually more for teenagers than it is for people my age (i'm 23).

Not necessarily - I just turned 30 and I've read the entire saga 4 times because I don't want the story to end. Also - about it being unrealistic - um... yeah it is... because since when are there vampires falling in love with humans? Sorry, not trying to be rude or anything but seriously, what is realistic about any of the books in the saga? If you were peeved with Eclipse - I totally agree with you that you shouldn't read Breaking Dawn because that whole book is very much more unrealistic than Eclipse.

I am 31, and a HUGE Twilight fan. Hearing you talk about Eclipse, I cant help but think that you only looked at the words at face value, and ignored or didnt notice the emotion and nuances behind them.

Bella never cheated on Edward. It is possible to love two different men, in two very different ways. I know I have.

Ive just started reading 'Eclipse'! And I agree with you Heather, you can tell that Bella loves Jacob as a friend only and that she's too overtly in love with Edward to be able to cheat.

I have to agree with the pro-Eclipse girls. They're rather unrealistic books. But at the same time I think a lot of the actual emotions of the books are realistic. I don't know about any of you, but I was kind of invisible at my old high school; I went to Laguna Hills High in California for a few months, and I bet if you talked to any of those people, they wouldn't remember who I was, but when I moved back to Michigan and started to going to Fitzgerald High, I was the most fascinating thing in the world because I hadn't grown up with them. Like they said in the movie, I was a new shiny toy for the boys. So that aspect, at least, is not unrealistic.

Also, Bella never cheated on Edward. Yes, she kissed Jacob, but (unrealistic, I know!) Jacob tricked her into it, and Bella is kind of dim and fell for it. Yeah, she's a bit dumb, but she didn't want to kiss him, and she doesn't love him that way. Of course in a book with vampires she'll get forgiven. By Edward, at least.

As for Edward spying, that is creepy. He's a vampire, he's a little bit odd... but Bella's never had this kind of attention, and that kind of dedication and interest from such a gorgeous guy probably helps overlook how creepy that is. Again, it's only a book, about vampires and werewolves. Not very high on the reality scale. ;)
