Sure, last season was a continuation of Tyra's slide into self-parody and egomaniacal bullshit that often made the contestants/models literally jump through hoops and kiss Miss T's ass BUT I'm watching anyway. :blush:

The 9/3/08 premiere:

Mr. Jay looked gorgeous in all silver. I could have eaten him all up!!! Loved his space age costume. Tyra looked good from the waist up but I thought her thighs looked super chunky in those tall boots. Did you notice, she switched to black heels later on and she looked a lot better. Her face is still her money maker. She does have some style.

Brittany S.- loved her electric kool-aid red hair & her tomboy lifestyle

These ladies completely turned me off with either their looks and/or their attitudes. This is just my opinion folks. Please share yours. Anyway...the following got on my nerves:
Isis-I hated her walk, she has a scary angular face & ANTM has already done the front tooth gap look before (remember winner, Danielle?)
Brittney-very over-the-top, loud ghetto, abrasive personality
Clark-seemd like a bitch with a chip on her shoulder who was itching for someone to knock it off
Veronique-already tired of hearing the Mormon background speech because she'll just complain about nudity & anything sexy (which is most of modeling and fashion) ;it's not a Mormon thing, there have been a variety of religious ladies who have come on the show and whined because their faith taught them that sex was bad or their bodies were taboo temples, fine, then don't get on the show!!!!! Sorry, those chicks just piss me off. :fire:
Elina-I found her aggresively sexual, almost predator like; Freak in the house! I got no problem with anyone's sexuality but she just rubbed me the wrong way like she was hoping for a hook up in the house, that's a totally different cable reality show :naughty: That said, her weird belly tattoo wasn't that cool nor was her showing up to initial panel with wet hair, yuck
Nikeysha-I think flashing your fake plastic breasts to the judges and then throwing one boob at them is NOT a good idea, that helmet hair looks like a bad wig, I thought she was trangendered but it turns out that Isis is...go figure

I completely agree with you. There have been past seasons where it seemed like Tyra had hundreds of beautiful if not just pretty girls to chose from. But this pool of contestants was very shallow, if you catch my drift.....:yawn:

Maybe young women realise that ANTM isn't such a big gateway to fame and fortune after all, so truly gorgeous girls with promise actually just try to get jobs instead of playing games with Tyra.

I love the tranny - Isis. Good for them. Transgendered people deserve the chance to degrade and humiliate themselves just like the rest of the contestants. Isis does not look good in person but she photographs beautifully.

I'll bet she's an inspiration for other homeless runaway transgendered youth. I'm sure they'll keep her on there past her expiration date just for the drama.

I was shocked to see Whitney's 'my life as a cover girl' spots. I was sure she'd be slim and back to her usual self. She's still plus size. Guess it's working for her.

You hit the nail on the head- I suspect Isis is on the show for Tyra's usual public service announcements & for drama! Tyra casts girls with special issues and "provides" them with a weird forum (a beauty pageant basically?) and at the same time manages to exploit the girls presence on the show because it causes issues in the house and during the competition. :wtf: It's a strange experience, watching ANTM. The show is actually based on quite superficial premises-winning a fashion show contest by wearing clothes and walking the best, talking & smiling in a convincing fake way...Yet Tyra keeps throwing in serious mature issues that give viewers and contestants pause. :ponder:
Fans of this show have seen "normal" girls compete against models who were -almost blind, had Aspbergers, are pre-operation male transexual, had that sleeping disease (sorry, I forget the name), had memory problems due to brain damage, etc. The backgrounds of some of these ladies are straight out of talk show heaven- homeless, former battered girlfriend, dropped out of school, had kids before 18, etc.
To be honest, all I really want to know is can they walk & take a good picture. :) The other stuff, the drama, is pretty irritating to me. :lame: I usually hit the mute button or turn the channel until final panel comes on.
But I think Tyra actually believes she is doing a service by putting some of these trainwrecks on her show. Sure, it shows young girls & women what NOT to do, if they can help it. :rolleyes:

i think Isis does make great drama, but Tyra didn't even know that she was transgendered when she saw her in those pics from last season, she just saw a beautiful model, then they told her that she was transgendered and Tyra let her be on the show, if she's a good model that's all the matters, and she was good so i really don't care.

I couldn't stand the girl from Alaska, she's always like "I'm from ALASKA, and we don't have that there." or "i'm from ALASKA so i was confused!" that was sooooo annoying, it's like we get it, you're from ALASKA!!!!

i loooove Sheena, she's just so nice and sassy! and really pretty, i love her positive attitude.

Elina is pretty, but weird, it kind of annoyed me that she was like, i hope i hook up with someone, you're there to model not make out with everyone!

Overall i like the girls, and i was surprised at how well all the pics came out! I can't wait for the next episode, oooo, one of the girls is racist, how exciting!!! can't wait 'til the makeovers!

This episode was a classic. They used my favorite ANTM line, "You're thinking too hard - don't overthink it". As if! These girls don't look like they've done too much overthinking in their lives!

Sheena was fun - my breasts are natural - they stand straight out at 45 degree angles but they're natural! Puh-leez!

Isis deserved bottom 2. She needs to step up her game.

I loved how they cornered Hannah. Caribou Barbie is getting a fast education. Imagine being 18 years old and from Alaska and being thrust into the spotlight. Imagine your mother making you tell everyone that retarded baby is actually hers. No wait!!!! Wrong subject.

I hated seeing Shannon on the spotlight. I still remember her fundie fit with the naked paint shoot in 'cycle' 1. I really wish Elyse hadn't thrown the contest in Paris and they would have left that horse faced holier than thou bible banger in the dust. I wondered if she wore a purity ring.

Next week's makeovers look great. I love that show. I want to see what they do to Elina - they said it's a first. What else can they do? They've shaved heads, done mohawks. MIght they shave her eyebrows? I loves me some baby bjork. I'd like her to win.

Nykeesha is scary skinny - reminds me of Furonda and her busted up 25 cent tiara. I'm loving Paulina - she tells it like it is. Perfect cross between Janice and Twiggy.

Today's Lesson: "Extreme Posing"- modeling as performance art- the model wannabes attend a workshop led by Benny Ninja and they practice moving their bodies in unique yoga-like Cirque de Solieil style, while entwined in long sheer red fabric

REWARD CHALLENGE: audition for a jewelry/handbag designer-model accessories using an extreme pose-the reward is a designer bag filled with some bling bling- (sell it on Ebay!!!!!)
:spit: Well, it seemed like almost EVERYBODY SUCKED. Benny Ninja & Tyra should be ashamed! I think they were because the editing was so damn wicked fast :pissed:that I can barely remark on how awkward/stupid/crazy they looked.

My brief observations/reactions:

Elina-boring standard pose BUT (as Madonna would say) "She gave Good Face"
Nikesha-VERY TACKY & UNPROFESSIONAL VERBALLY, "I gotta pee", not cute
Isis-Nah, not elegant or chic
Joslyn-YUCK!!!
Sheena-too risque', She tried too hard and oversold her pose, she's already a Hot Mama so she should have toned it down, basically- putting the merchandise in front of your exposed crotch IS a bit much
Lauren Brie- (is she really named after Brie cheese? Well, to be fair, Kobe Bryant IS named after Kobe beef...ANYWAY) she looked okay

Sorry, the other girls were so brief and scary, you gotta watch the rerun...

Elina WON!!! She deserved it. But I must say, she won from her facial expression and overall appearance and NOT beacuse of anything she learned from Benny Ninja! Sorry dude.
It seemed to me that the girls all took the extreme pose suggestions and became invisible pole swinging stripper/skanks who kept coming off as Rick James superfreaks. :headph: "She was a very kinky girl...the kind you don't bring home to Ma-Ma..." And apparently she's not the kind of girl you'd buy a purse from either!

Photo Shoot-"Unobvious Posing"-good Lord! These girls don't have normal/average posing skills yet, why have they jumped to advanced placement so soon? :no: the girls must pose on a rope ladder hanging from an airborne hot-air balloon that is suspended 20-30 ft high (being held by grips and nailed to the ground for safety) IT DIDN"T LOOK SAFE!!! I've expressed my distaste in the past for Tyra's tendency to make the contestants do more and more outlandish and potentially dangerous stunts while attepmting to model. STOP ALREADY! :pissed:
That said...the gods must have heard my prayers and those of the girls because the wind picked up and kept swinging the balloon out of control so they just mounted a rope from a crane and had the girls pose there instead.

Nikeysha-Awful wig at the shoot (Uh OH!, She looks crappy with short hair AND long hair!) "a paper bag" "too thin" "stunning face" (Yeah right! :wtf:)
Samantha-she looked awkward in the evening gown, not comfortable or classy, Tyra said she almost looked "full figured" (UH OH! That's FAT!!!!!)

Joslyn- the girl bounces back and Kicked Ass again!!! "effortless" BUT Tyra complimented her THEN kind of TOOK IT BACK for fear of making her overconfident, :rolleyes2 Heck, she hasn't won any challenges yet so she can't be feeling too proud of herself
Annaleigh-struggled but did some good work; "you look like you're thinking too much" "perfect pose" "interesting" :ot:SHOUT OUT to the cool chick who helped Isis while she took her hormone shots! :cool:
Brittany-she seemed unsure during the shoot, "can do catalog" (AKA not high fashion enough)
Hannah-looked absolutely scared shitless during the shoot "different" "face doesn't work" :ot: Back at the house, Hannah seems intimidated by some of the other girls especially the "ethnics" (AKA non-white girls). She ruined a nice bonding moment between all the girls when she pushed Isis away from her when she got kind of close in the hot tub. But what do you expect with 12 girls in one hot tub? Hannah tried to explain herself later to Brittany & Sheena by using some weird "I'm just an innocent polite girl who's scared of you people..." defense and WHAMMO!!!! Now there's racial tension in the house. :down::etongue: This argument is so damn old and tired....
Sheena-Tyra came down REALLY HARD on Sheena's look at panel; she told the girl to "use less make-up" "pull your hair back into a ponytail" and "to cover up" her body- great- walk into panel looking like a jewel thief, that always helps, her picture was good, one judge called her a "goddess" BUT someone else said "boobs look fake" "stop sticking your boobs & butt out for every shot" "vulgar" OUCH!!!! 1st Sheena said her boobs were real and acted offened THEN a minute later, she came back and fessed up that they indeed were fake. :ot: Now I don't see a problem. This is NOT the 1st girl to be on ANTM with fake boobs. That said, I think Tyra is making a big deal about exposing Sheena's surgery to show how females/women get surgical work done all the time so maybe Isis' surgery should be accepted the same way? Just a thought but I think it's weird that NOW fake boobs are an issue? As Seinfeld would say, Sheena's boobs are SPECTACULAR!!!

Isis-Tyra came down hard on her saying she "looked too normal" for panel (I actually thought Isis could take that as a backwards compliment:embarass:), her shot was "sexy but not fashionable" but Paulina said "don't like it"

Clark-from blonde tobrown/almost black;different,okay

Joslyn-longer thicker weave; she basically looked the same which is a good thing

Samantha-cut hair, DRAMATIC change, chic sleek sharp edged bob, EXCELLENT!!!!!!! Fierce!!!!!!

McKey-cut hair & dyed jet black, um....okay, face looks kind of too big now

Hannah-cut from long to chunky heavy looking bob with huge flat bangs, her hair looks like an ill fitting helmet or Nikeysha's bad wig, Ugh!!!!

Marjorie-just a color change to brown, nice

Lauren Brie- Blonder!!!!, platinum icy, almost albino, I personally hate the white-out look, too too much

Brittany-got a longer hair weave to give her more sexy/sultry/edgy/ look, it didn't work, she just looked the same but with longer hair:drunk:

Sheena-weave for more length, fullness and some blonde tracks to add hip factor, GREAT LOOK!

Annaleigh-blonder & weave for length & fullness but cut was layered to almost Farrah Fwacett 70s standards, Um......okay?

Elina-full weave of short shoulder length red thick tangled wavy hair, when she questioned the change, Mr. Jay dumped on her and said she had control issues; if you are going to be a model then your face/body/hair are your meal-ticket and you should be very careful with your look; why become too specific and too extreme? And if it ain't broke, don't fix it! She was awesome as she was, Majorly Over-tweaked.

As for Elina winning the #1 photo for the episode. I disagree and didn't see it. Samantha and Lauren Brie rocked it! I think Elina got a pity win for putting up with the make-over without drama and plus, Tyra is actually just patting herself on the back and trying to persuade the veiwers that what she did to Elina is complimentary. I'm not buying it and neither is Elina.

Not all parents/mothers are loving. There are such things as child abuse, molestation, criminal neglect, child services, runaways, alcoholism, drug abuse and more. Some people are blessed with loving safe nurturing homes/childhoods, but there are quite a few who barely survive. Sometimes, kids/teens in trouble bide their time living in a bad situation with their parents until they are legal- age 18- then they can leave school, get a job, get their own place, etc. But that doesn't mean they have to love the situation or the person who created it. And why should they go on TV and tell lies about their lives? Just because Elina looks pretty and safe and loved doesn't mean that she is!

I thought Elina was very brave telling those other girls how she felt about her mom. I think it's important that people speak up and let the lucky ducks who just assume that everybody is like them that there is a a big scary different world out there and not everyone is walking on sunshine.

It's sad to see so many people attack Elina. Why are you assuming that her feelings aren't warranted in truth or validated in some way? I'm not jumping on her mom but I am giving Elina the benefit of the doubt.

I am very pleased with the eliminations. All and all, a good episode where the right girls went home and it's clear why they are gone.

Hannah sucked at runway.:down: I know other girls were bad too, Samantha & McKey stood out to me as rotten eggs. That said, Samantha takes an awesome picture! The designer was way over the top with his critique of Samantha because he felt personally "offended". Whatever. The judges seem to like McKey, WHY?, I don't know BUT I knew she wouldn't get kicked off. Hannah got an awful make-over and she took crappy photos. Then she couldn't walk the runway either? BYE BYE....

Isis, who I liked, did spend A LOT of energy & focus on hiding her masculinity instead of trying to show her feminine beauty. It showed in her pictures- big time.:sleep: And she does have "lazy" "sleepy" eyes which do not help her at all. Her walk was okay but the modeling gig is mostly about looking good on film- catalog or haute couture or TV. Modeling today is all about selling sex in the way of showing half clothed women and Isis can't frolic in sheer skimpy form fitting clothes. Big obstacle to modeling!

Finally an episode with clear expectations and logical outcomes. :thumbup:

I kind of liked Hannah. She looked beautiful in some of those pics. Plus we could keep the Sarah Palin jokes coming. I was disappointed to see her go.

Isis was my hands down favorite since the beginning but their critique was correct - she has been fading and boring. Oh well, she did provide a positive role model for transgendered youth. What was up with that stupid-ass tiara she wore on her way out?

Did they show a commercial with the past models - where are they now? If so, I missed it. I want to see Uvuly or whatever her name was - the one with the horrible fish picture when they did the zodiac.

Mr. J really needs to do something about that hair. It's starting to glow. It actually looks more gray than blond these days. I'm surprised it hasn't broken off. I imagine he would look like an overtan chipmunk without hair.

Did anybody see her little 3 to 5 minute piece on primetime TV last night? A segment was on KYW 3 channel about 7:45pm on the Hollywood pop culture show "The Insider". They showed Isis getting fixed up for some modeling gig in New York and they talked about her being in ANTM History, yada yada yada

That said, here are my impressions on the Runway Challenge.

Marjorie-rushed & nervous, didn't even make it to the end of the runway before she turned and went back

Clark-nutty scary stilted walk

Elina-was a bit tight & stiff, perhaps too cautious but became confident by the show

Samantha- oh, those sweet bow legs!!! too too much attitude, she got nervous and pulled up her mini-dress & pissed off the designer

Joslyn- I thought she was hilariously CAMPY!!!,:party: way too slinky for MY taste But she won the challenge and got a photo spread in 17 magazine. She picked Isis & Sheena as photo buddies which is smart, all 3 are unique and compliment each other instead of competing looks

Annaleigh-I loved her but Ms. Jay said it was too slow; she was uber sexy!

Hannah- crazy walk with arms & fists going awry!!!, she "looked scared" according to the judges

Sheena-fierce!!!

Isis-it was okay; she looked very happy at the show

Brittany S./McKey-That head...That face...That hair cut...I could hardly pay attention to her walk;that said, at the show, she looked like an idiot with that Carol Burnett curtain rod dress from her old comedy skit, with Mckey square forehead & that long pole on her already almost masculine broad shoulders...she looked like Frankenstein :eek:

Lauren Brie-she was okay

I already told you about who went home.

The photo shoot was okay with the usual people getting the same feedback :sleep:except Sheena & Elina are losing favor in the judges' eyes, which is typical crazy ANTM style. :wtf: The strongest prettiest girls always have trouble for some trumped up reason or other. Elina just seems to be "fading"/"weak" while Sheena who was once told to "tone down" her personality is now being criticized for appearing "tame" "lacking intensity".

I never liked Clark's look or her attitude so I was glad to see her go. :up:

That said, I don't buy the European girls are shy & timid act at all. I'm surprised at Paulina's sensitivty because usually she is hard and cruel but I guess she has a soft spot for European girls.:ponder: Hm..so she hates those overconfident Americans? :ebraise:
I've always felt that European women especially French females are known to be high fashion and very chic, so much so that they don't have to use deodorant or shave their armpits. :moon:

Marjorie is just one girl in particular who is very self-conscious and afraid of rejection. I can relate but if you want to be a model and on a reality TV show, you gotta have a backbone! :ninja: She should have gone home, even before Clark. It's like Marjorie is begging to leave.:down:

On another note, Joslyn appears to be on the chopping block but as Clark's expulsion shows, Tyra loves to catch girls off guard and to send contestants home on a whim.
Everybody needs to watch their backs because let's face it...none of these girls is an exact shoe-in for the win. :idea: But that's the way Tyra likes it, because then she can justify sending anybody home because everybody has faults!

Workshop with Paulina- How to Model Crappy Catalog Clothes that Don't Fit
advice: padding? toilet paper in bra? belts? safety pins? paper clips? rubber bands? staplers? hair clips?

Everybody did pretty good except Elina & Samantha, McKey (GOD! I hate that nickname) won the challeneg and got 50 extra photo frames, pretty wimpy prize if you ask me...I prefer money, photo shoots and trips to Bora,Bora...Remember that weird prize? Very Price Is Right....


The Photo Shoot- dumb concept, basically reminiscent of the Voting Shoot, this time it's represent a Natural Disaster but actually it was Make Your Own Campy Retro 60s Attack of the 50 Ft Woman Disaster Film Poster...geez, get your themes right! :lol: The theme here was, "You should be able to shine through any extra hair, costume, make-up, stupid props..."

Final Panel:Here are my comments with judges' remarks in quotes:

Marjorie-suffering from extreme lack of self-confidence, "poor thing. So timid" Get some backbone girl!!! I'm sorry but you gotta be tougher to be a model or on a reality show. She was a Traffic Jam. nice blonde wig but this show already has two great blondes, Lauren Brie & Samantha. "broken Barbie doll" "take more chances" great"
AGAIN: if you are deathly afraid of rejection to the point of vomit & tears & fainting, you should NOT be on ANTM :bang:

Clark-she was Black Out, whatever, "not pretty" "stuck" "dull" "mediocre"

Sheena-Sand Storm-Umm...I HATED HER BEEHIVE HAIRDO!!!! She looked super old to me in that whole get-up but luckily, the judges only said "you had fun with it" whatever THAT means...:rolleyes2


Brittany S./McKey-She was Heat Wave-and she had 50 extra frames, I thought she got the easiest one, just look steamy sweaty langourously sexy BUT McKey ain't passionate or sexy so she gave a lot of weird & different poses and saved her butt, "you could have done more" VS "liked it a lot"

Lauren Brie-Snow Storm-SHE WAS GORGEOUS!!!! Excellent color scheme for her BUT the judges blasted her and ranted "too posed" "do more" "let go" too pretty" Uh OH!!!!

WINNER?- Samantha-yeah!!!!!!!
Runner-up- Annaleigh

Bottom Two: Joslyn & Clark
Sent Home- Clark- YEAH!!!!! I didn't really enjoy looking at her or hearing anything she had to say.
That said, on the CW forum, quite a few people want Joslyn gone because she's old. Also, some people are accusing Tyra of just keeping Joslyn because she's Black. :drunk: Personally, I think Joslyn has had more challenge wins and has a better portfolio. Also, the CW forum is full of a lot of ignorance and rage. :wtf: Not a good combination.

WORST EPISODE.....EVER!

Tyra just stroked and boosted Marjorie like the cute little delicate flower she is...:pissed:
Meanwhile, they demanded that Elina almost shed tears of blood...:wtf: "Let go!!!! Just trust us and let go!!!" It's like watching Darth Vader try to seduce Luke Skywalker.:lol: Elina knows that as soon as she gives them what they want, then they'll cut her and she won't even be able to leave with her self-respect. :nohope:
Lauren Brie is GORGEOUS. She didn't play games or display haughty drama queen diva qualities. And she was SENT HOME.
:cussing:Personality has nothing to do with it. Tyra uses that excuse like a crutch to mask her own issues & biases. Sheena should have gone home, anybody could have gone home, but Lauren Brie had the best face & pictures-period. Tyra doesn't make sense. Even she has said how much she is bothered by Sheena's fake over-the-top hip hop wannabe persona.

It's kind of like a trainwreck - it's too compelling to miss. Lauren Brie got robbed. She could have won the entire thing but Tyrant always cuts the prettiest ones - often in the first episode or two. If she doesn't cut them, she shaves their heads or makes them wear ridiculous outfits in the challenges.

I like Marjorie and I like the diversity in this 'cycle' (stupid word, Tyrant's about 3 years away from never having to worry about another cycle). I think they should bring back Isis and Lauren Brie and have a smackdown. I'm ready for Joslyn to go but she's the only African-American model so there's no way she's going anywhere soon.

I think Joslyn is fierece and usually takes good photos. She is handicapped because she's older but she has more personality & prettiness than many of the other girls, and basically more self confidence. I don't see this "she's the last black girl so she stays" thing. :drunk: Tyra has often cut all the nonwhite chicks. I actually see Joslyn leaving because Tyra seems like she really wants the strange ones: McKey, Marjorie, & Annaleigh especially. :ponder: Elina is gorgeous but she is on the edge of the cliff and that bad make-over doesn't help. Samantha is good but she just got her 2nd bad critique at panel. Joslyn and Sheen are the last ethnic girls but they do look "old" some times and Sheena IS too ...dare I say...skanky at times. :blush: Sorry, honey. Being a Black contestant isn't a big deal anymore. ANTM has had what?, at least 2 African American winners-Eva & Danielle, 1 Latina- Jaslene, 1 Plus Size- Whitney, and the rest White- Yohanna, that blonde (I liked her), that mousey brunette (I despised her), the 1st girl who was kind of trashy, and I forget the rest, sorry.

Either Tyra is going for her 1st older female Joslyn or her 1st Asian Sheena or her 1st foreigner/French chick Marjorie (to court her foreign market/audience because apparently ANTM has a big following overseas:wtf:) Those are my predictions. It's going to be one of these 3 women.

Fake crying on cue is VERY difficult!!!:cussing: And they hand-picked this emotional challenge for Elina to do to make her squirm, NOT COOL!!!, make-up gave her good fake tears but Mr. Jay demanded "real tears", :wtf: What a set up for failure...What is this? Annaleigh-Be a Bitchy Reporter- I thought she looked like a BRATZ doll, more smartass than ruthless diva reporter BUT judges LOVED HER

Lauren Brie-Girl Who Tripped On the Red Carpet-another hard one, you try fake falling in a full legnth gown and not rip clothes or look stupid- but Lauren looked fabulous- talk about blonde bombshell-VAVAVOOM!!!!- Mr. Jay kept yelling "too posed" "be more natural" But that workshop was NOT about looking natural at all, judges hated her look, "Not Believable" "Not Ugly enough" :wtf: "Too stiff" "VERY pretty BUT..." and then the dreaded "no personality" :ebraise:

Marjorie-Going To The bathroom in a Gown-very easy set up, it was a great photo and the judges sang her praises BUT this is a lot of ass kissing for someone who was under the radar for so long and now everything she does is golden...

Samantha-The Girl who couldn't see the cue cards-the picture WAS horrible BUT it was because the lighting looked bad and there was a lot of shadow around the model, Samantha was told that she couldn't see so she squinted or closed her eyes and that's the picture they took, Mr. Jay didn't give much direction to help, unlike the spoon feeding that he gave to Marjorie
judges said "fake looking" "cheesy" "too dramatic"

McKey-The Girl who thought she won but didn't-(again, taken directly from the Zoolander movie!!!! :thumbsup:) McKey was confused, should she look embarrassed, shocked, confused, angry? But she ended up looking like a blank slate with no emotion, she looked very plastic to me judges said "full of potential" REALLY???? "not great"


Who Won? Marojorie, was there ever any doubt? Annaleigh came in 2nd.

Who went home? It was between Lauren Brie & Sheena. Lauren Brie got sent home.

I suggest watching Zoolander instead of this show. Much better entertainment. Besides, this week's episode is just filler, a collection of what has happened so far & stuff they edited out. :idea: Watch cable or better yet, how about the PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE? But come on, haven't you made up your mind about who you're voting for already?

Hasn't ANTM had European/European American models before as contestants? :confused:I remember Kartazanyz and a few others. None of them seemed to suffer from the European "shyness" "awkward" "emotionally stunted social disease" like Marjorie or Elina. Many had language issues but then again so do many American contestants! :spit: Oh some of the local accents are just hilarious!

What's the big deal now? Why all the repetitive whining and excuses that do sound a bit lame to me. It seems to me that Marjorie & Elina do not have such a general problem but a more personal issue for these particular ladies.

In fact, I think they are putting a big stigma/label on European women that is insulting and offensive. :pissed: Who says women from Europe have issues or problems emoting? TYRA!?! :shrugs: What does she know? Paulina? She's just one woman out of millions and she's no doctor, reporter, researcher, or therapist. She's just a model with an opinion. Isn't Heidi Klum a model of European descent? She seems very together to me and emotes just damn fine and she has a great presence & sexuality on screen & on film. There's my one example to counteract Paulina. :up:

**The Green Screen Special Effects "invisible model" fashion show-as a tech nerd, I liked it and if I was only seeing the invisible show, I probably would have loved it BUT viewers also got to see the models in the full body spandex numbers and that just looked...creepy silly

****This challenge kind of sucked and the girls mostly sucked because CLOTHES AREN'T ACCESSORIES, which is what the workshop was about. So I think the models made a lot of mistakes because they moved too much and played with the garments too much because they had been improperly trained to do so; it was like a trick challenge that had NOTHING to do with the earlier workshop

Samantha-worked her ass off but struggled with a jacket

Sheena-did a great job because her garment was basic so she had nothing to work with

Annaleigh-okay

Joslyn-um...she did a kind of fake strip tease that made ME feel uncomfortable, Honey you're trying way too hard

Marjorie-her dress fell off!! and she didn't seem to notice or care (because of the body stocking?) anyway, she stank!

Elina-became a little drama queen and almost had a big claustrophobic anxiety attack but ended up "just winging it"

McKey-this crazy girl!!! you gotta see to believe

WHO WON? Elina, she shared her reward with Marjorie & Annaleigh

Sheena-LOTS of energy & attitude, the director LOVED her, I thought she was a bit too much but luckily judges said "she really works on TV"

Annaleigh-HOLY COW!!!! EXCELLENT!!!!! Who knew!?! She was bubbly, fluid speech and natural unforced confidence and relaxed movement :bow:
Tyra screamed "BEST COMMERCIAL......EVER!" "Perfect" :applause: I agree!!!!

Joslyn-got sick & vomitted backstage but was able to do commercial, BUT she was VERY fake with awful phony laugh and a huge weird smile and goofy hand gestures plus the winking didn't help either; again-Joslyn, you are TRYING TOO HARD!!!! judges said- "what happened?" "too much winking & giggling"

Marjorie-looked scared & talked too fast, had prissy nervous crying jag before & between takes, she also held her shoulders up tensely a lot, she looks uncomfortable in her skin, judges- "What was the rush?" "awkward chicken"
OUCH!!!!

Elina-she looked great BUT her voice lacked excitement or energy like she was bored or couldn't really be bothered, she comes off as above it all, not good, judges- "eye contact is everything" "you're a closed fist" OUCH!!! "lacked natural charm"

McKey-HILARIOUS!!! She CANNOT walk & talk; she is no supermodel, spokeperson or saleswoman, plus her close-up almost killed me.... :eek:

Marjorie & Sheena-"Freaky/Crazy"-Marjorie was edgy & extreme & over-the-top because she was "cleared" to look strange/weird which is her forte; meanwhile, Sheena was faulted for looking "too pretty" , "too feminine" & "too refined" JEEZ!!!! She can't win. :pissed: Either she looks like an angel or a whore. :wtf:

McKey-she looked very goth Halloween to me but she worked a lot of poses, I loved her panel outfit, and her picture came out looking quite High Fashion looking, judges- "Everything is working",she looks better on film than in person

Sam-looked mature & almost sophisticated, no babyface this time, her picture was nice but judges said "just commercial" "filled the canvas" but criticized for not looking like a model at panel

Sheena-she tried hard but Mr. Jay said she was "lewd" at times, I hated her picture!!! she looked like a crumpled doll in a heap on the floor, I hated her outfit too, it looked very Madonna circa 1980 with too many layers that hid her figure; judges said "dull" "lifeless" "flat"

Elina-I hated her outfit & make-up too, again , very goth Halloween, Mr Jay was very critical of her, as usual, Elina completely tuned him out & stopped listening to his advice/direction/criticism (damn bitch, you gotta play the game or you're going home!), her picture was okay but judges said "stiff" "bad pirate costume look"

Annaleigh-her outfit was perfect, a flowing beautiful garment & she worked it! Classic pose & look , judges- "improving"

Marjorie-finally worked without having a crying fit, her picture looked good, however, the European female guest judge was spot-on when she said of Marjorie "you look like you DON'T want to be here" "you look like Bambi, all scared & timid" "a shy person at panel" FINALLY!!!!!! Somebody has pointed out that a weepy fearful wallflower personality cannot be AMERICA'S next top model. But how come it was a European who said it?

Winner? McKey-She earned it!!!!

Bottom Two- Sheena & Elina
SENT HOME-Sheena-no surprise, I thought she often looked older than Joslyn on film and she didn't have a great face or smile, and the judges clearly will never get over her sexual charisma :nopity::crying:

Elina-I'm over her, She's a cold fish who's isn't as refreshing to look at as Annaleigh or Samantha

I can't believe I'm rooting for the remaining blondes. I could tolerate McKey but she still freaks me out sometimes.:blush:

Poor Marjorie - they're setting her up for opioid dependence. Tyra needs to have one of her patented 'afterschool special talks' with all the girls about heroin chic.

Marjorie is a sitting duck for addiction - "All that talent in photos but you can't book a job because of your nerves and awkwardness".

This would be an appropriate time for some education on anti-anxiety medication. This would be a great time to discuss the dangers of pain killers.

That being said - I'm disappointed that Elina went home. I had her picked to win. I guess McKey can sail to the top now. It was nice to see MOllie Sue featured. I saw her in Out magazine a few years ago. It's interesting how the losers do so much better than the winners. Of course, there are more losers than winners, aren't there?

I like Marjorie and I like the photos she takes, but she has had more than enough time to get over her nerves. I would understand her being nervous on her go sees because she doesn't know those people and it is a lot of pressure, but she is still nervous and awkward in front of the judges! I think she'll be gone next.

I was pretty glad Elina went home last week. I think she was interesting in the beginning but throughout the past few weeks leading up to her elimination, I think she got boring and uninspiring.

I think Sam, McKey, and Analeigh will be top three. I'm guessing McKey and Analeigh for top two and I think it'll be top competition between them. They have both improved so much in the past few weeks and the good thing is that they keep on improving and getting better. :]

I think some shit has happened to her and she needs to stay in control to survive. Girl, you WILL be a successful model because you ARE beautiful. :up: It's just that simple.)

McKey-looked excellent "clean" and I adored her "glam" shot, uh oh- this chick is growing on me....:lol:; "true fashion"

Annaleigh-looked okay, much better in make-up, " a dream" "still needs work"

Marjorie-looked good in person but her film came out looking creepy sad cool, Depression Chic, "a nervous wreck" "people don't like frailty" ,it's good in an actress maybe but not a fierce model!!!!

If Marjorie stays next week, it will be a fluke. She is not consistent and all the guest judges and her European counterparts have openly looked at her with bemused consternation. Honey, you gotta work on your extreme shyness before trying to become a model. She's a worse than Heather!!!! At least Heather was drop-dead gorgeous and she had Aspbergers for an excuse for her social issues.

The 17 magazine editor's comment about Marjorie was crap. It was just Tyra's plan to edit in some bull to create a reason to send Marjorie home. Why not just say she couldn't model. Or that her nerves got in the way. Why did they have to say- now that her nerves are gone- she's boring. What a huge insult.:cussing: Talk about throwing someone under the bus. I think they put spikes on the front bumper. OUCH!!!

Don't get me wrong. I think Marjorie shouldn't have even made it to Amsterdam. That said, I don't see why Tyra had to create such bullshit when it came to sending the poor fragile thing home. Annaleigh will 'win' the commercial competition but McKey's glamour shot will be retouched to ensure victory just like Whitney's. ANTM has had HOW MANY CYCLES? At least 10, right? We KNOW when Tyra/producers/editors are creating/setting-up
girls for the big send-off. We KNOW when judging is bogus. We KNOW when pictures have been doctored. And some of the models have figured this out too. That's why the smart opinionated ones NEVER win either. They speak up and say, "I don't get it?" And when they do, they get sent home.

Actually, it was nice of them to give Marjorie that bone of the Reward prize earlier before they axed her. Some girls don't even get that. Back to the contestants. Neither looked good on that insane runway. What was Jay thinking? Making them run up that hill and then stroll down those steps. That was just stupid.

I agree with ya 100% That crazy runway/maze was so distracting and ridiculous, it made all the models look afflicted. :idea: But maybe that's why they did it, because McKey clearly had the weaker walk. That said, both girls' make-up looked hideous. It was just the worst finale. :etongue: Even the clothes looked uninspired and unoriginal. It was like Mommie Dearest running up Pepto Bismol colored hills... :no:
