Is Bella's and Edward's relationship real?

okay so don't get me wrong, I love the Twilight series. I love Edward and I just love everything about twilight. But today one of my friends brought up a good point. Why do Edward and Bella love each other. Because in the first book Bella was drawn to him for his myseriousness and Edward was drawn to Bella because of her scent. Is there more though? Please no one yell or get mad at me...I didn't agree with this question but my friend was talking about it and wanted to know your answers. Go Team Edward!!

Well, why do other people fall in love? I think it's because they just love to be around that one person, the way Edward and Bella love to be together and can't stand being apart. I agree that Midnight Sun helps, though.

i can see what your friend was saying. it's like, do edward and bella love eachother beyond the initial (physical) attraction. well, like someone else noted of course that's what's gong to draw you in first. we use our 5 senses to evaluate what we are attracted to and what we aren't. however, if it doesn't go any deeper than that....it's infatuation and that will die eventually. edward and bella are eahcother's soulmates. i agree - reading 'midnight sun' on stephanie's site certainly gives deeper insight into why edward feels how he does toward bella. when i read breaking dawn...it was like their relationship had evolved into a real, more mature love. that's one of the reasons i love that book. they had become best friends as well as lovers.

Of course there's more to it. I agree that at first it was like oh my he's mysterious oh goodness she smells amazing and I cant read her mind. But as they got to know each other they saw the truly amazing qualities about each other. Bella saw that Edward was a sweet, compassionate, caring person. He's amazing at everything and he's romantic as heck and so she truly FELL in love with him. Edward saw that Bella was loyal, faithful, and all around understanding. She was brave and always stuck up for him. She'd die a thousand deaths if it benefited Edward. So, yes, their love is real.

jacob is telling bella about imprinting...and she is remembering how sam looks at emily and how she has seen that look in edwards eyes....and she feels likewise.

and we alll know how strong the imprinting is so you should know how they feel for eachother...edward and bella i mean

I think Stephanie's "ideal" wish would have been for fans & public to await the 'unveiling' of her Midnight Sun novel, at her readiness. The loss of that discreet moment has already taken place. She may always be upset by what occurred, but I think in posting what was leaked, Stephanie made the decision to NOT hold her fans responsible for "betrayal", nor do I think your holding out would please her at this point, anymore than it would disappoint her. In fact, as the partial draft holds MUCH to understanding Edward's frame of mind, it's apripo that any Twilight fan WOULD read it, especially before seeing the movie.

Go to S Meyer's website. She posted the Midnight Sun draft there so that her fans would not be left out. Hopefully she'll continue to write it. Edward's perspective on the relationship gives you a fresh perspective.
