I think the Girls Night episode was the first one where I actually enjoyed Amy's character. Hopefully they use these opportunities to flesh her out and make her slightly less grating. Dare I say it, she's worse than Sheldon. :P

I agree with you meredithjj - I watched the episodes again yesterday and the girls scenes were definitely funnier than the guys scenes in this episode. I think Amy is already becoming less grating from when she was first introduced (slightly). I also really like that they are expanding it out so that all of the jokes are not on the guys (primarily Sheldon). Might help keep it from getting stale.

The new characters are growing on me. At first, it seemed a bit odd to be adding in their girlfriends too quickly, but the writers have done a good job keeping the original concept of the show, while adding more depth to each of the characters.

I thought this was another funny episode- the slumber party was awesome, lol. I thought Amy was a great addition during last season's finale- a female Sheldon- a bit scary if you ask me, lol. But I can see how she might come off as grating, but I think the writer's are trying to get a little more in depth with her character- even the fact that she mentions taking sides with Sheldon's friends to gain acceptance to their social group. Another thing I loved about this episode was the return of Wil Wheaton- I think it's great how he's Sheldon's archnemesis. I think this week's episode will be interesting- apparently Penny's dad is in town visiting. It will be nice seeing some of her family for a change.

I think it would be really funny if they found out that the person Sheldon thinks was his father is not his father at all. Then they could introduce his real father (not a regular but just a guest spot). In my mind I think John Lithgow would be ideal for it! An older version of Sheldon. Also, I think I'm Getting a nerdy crush on Bernadette. She's just so adorable. |
