I just saw "Lockout" at the $3 movies. "Lockout" is new-ish, but went nowhere at the box office. I blame the ad campaign and the title. It was actually pretty good, even though it was a rip-off of "Escape from New York" in a lot of ways. Set in a huge prison colony (with cryogenically frozen prisoners) in space, it's the president's daughter who gets caught in the action as the inmates are thawed and take over. Snake Pliskin,...er, uh, a guy named Snow has to go in, find her and rescue her to be excused from his crimes. It wasn't great, but I liked it. Really. I rate it a "B-"

I just saw the new "Dark Shadows" flick--finally. I was utterly disappointed. Visually, it was impressive (as Burton almost always is). However, i found the movie to be a MESS! If you are a fan of the original show, you understood the bits that were thrown in here and there. If you are not familiar with the series, these "in" bits will make no sense and seem to come out of nowhere. What a tremendous and unfortunate waste of all of the talents involved. 6/10

The Grey
10 out of 10 This was a great movie that older and newer generations can appreciate.
