Anyone ever read the DOC SAVAGE series?
I don't know why, but lately I've been thinking about reading the DOC SAVAGE books---which are totally NOT the kind of thing I'd normally read. But the urge persists. Come to find out there're about 100 books in the series! Zowie! Do I need to read the books in order to understand the series properly? I'm just wondering as collecting all of the books may prove to be a difficult task, since the series seems to be out of print. Are they any good?

It's funny you mention this series. I personally have never read any of it but it was my Dad's favorite series growing up (that and The Shadow radio show) in the 40's. We even had to watch Doc Savage: Man of Bronze which he was very disappointed with. All I can say is my Dad thinks they're great, haha
