Buffy or Angel

My wife got me into watching all seasons of Buffy and I ended up loving it. Is Angel just as good? I've seen a few episodes and it hasn't really pulled me in.

Eh. Angel is alright. I mean I love Angel's character, but I preferred him when he was on Buffy. Angel starts off as a good show, but I eventually ended up losing interest. Maybe it's just because it doesnt even compare to the amazingness that is Buffy

Buffy was a really good series....Angel is pretty good for the first few seasons. Towards the end it kind of gets off track though..

I think adults prefer Angel and if you are into that sort of darnkess you'll like it. But Buffy for me was always way better, I probably would never have watched Angel if it wasn't for Buffy.

I prefer Angel to Buffy because of the darker tone of the series. To me, Buffy always seem to be trying to convince the viewer of how clever it is, while Angel is a little more subtle. I'm just a sucker for detective stories, though.
