Kutcher Denies Relationship With Demi Was Media Stunt

American actor ASHTON KUTCHER has hit out at critics who called his relationship with actress DEMI MOORE a publicity stunt to boost his career.

The star remembers the media backlash when he started dating Moore - 15-years his senior - in 2003, and the scores of tabloid articles which branded their romance a fake.

But the 30-year-old, who is now married to the Ghost actress, scoffs at the stories, insisting his career was going "fine" when the pair first met.

He says, "I remember people thinking we were together for commercial reasons, but I don't think I gave a s**t. My Career was doing fine when I met Demi."

I definitely didn't see it as a publicity stunt since his career was booming at the time, but I did see it as a little strange. Apparently it's real...they're still together.

This article is a perfect example of why stars have to hide and sneak around. Just because they play in movies, doesn`t give the journalist and paparazzi any right to disrespect and invade their privacy. Nor does it mean their private lives become public property

I agree, Pierre. It's always strange when a young man pairs with an older woman, but their relationship has outlasted a lot of Hollywood hook-ups.

I believe their relationship is real and honest. It's sad how the tabloids and the paparazzi follow celebrities everywhere and make up stories about them to stir up controversy or conflict. I don't believe anyone deserves that. It's disgusting, just let people have their privacy!

He was extremely popular when they got engaged, he didn't really need the boost. And they have been together for a while, and appear to be doing well. If it was a media stunt, they would have split already.

I don't understand why people saw it as a stunt and questioned it. Demi Moore is not only successful but she's a good looking woman for her age, if I were a dude I'd probably like her too. Ashton is a hottie too, he seems to suit her well, they seem to both look good together and get along well

He was already a big star in Hollywood when they got engaged. I'm sure them being together boosted it up more but he didn't need her help from it.

I think a lot of people thought it was a publicity stunt because of the age difference in their ages. ie 15 yrs. But it could have been that they found that they had feelings for each other when working together.. It happens...
