Wahlberg buys $35 million home

Hollywood actor MARK WAHLBERG has reportedly purchased a $35 million (#18.9
million) home in Los Angeles to make room for his expanding family.

Wahlberg and his fiancee Rhea Durham put their Beverly Hills home on the market for $15.9 million (#8.6 million) following the birth of their baby son, Brendan, last month (Sep08).

And the couple has reportedly made plans to move to an eight-bedroom mansion in a nearby neighborhood which is already home to Denzel Washington, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

A source tells America's Star magazine, "Mark and Rhea suddenly felt their house was too small. Now that they have baby number three, they need a live-in nanny, a live-in cook and a housekeeper to help Rhea.

"He wants space for when family comes to visit. And he's adamant about the kids all having their own rooms."

The couple is also parents to Ella Rae, five, and Michael, two.

Mark has been in show business for about 20 years, so he has made made his fair share of cash. His albums. Magazine covers. Work out video. Calvin Klein ads. Producing 2 shows. Starring in over 25 movies, most of the high profile. That sum ads up to a pretty penny. I can also see Mark as a type of person who would invest his money to the point where he would make extra millions. From what I have known he is a smart guy. He's still damn hot too.

I thought I remember hearing he was kind of a jerk. He's been trying to get a harder image... maybe that was one way to be more hardcore?

I remember hearing he had made some homophobic comments, not sure if it's 100% accurate though.

produces Entourage. It's great he's able to provide for this family though.

He made a lot of money from the film "Max Payne" and his career is still at it's peak.

he has a lot of upcoming movie projects so I think he can afford to live in a place like that.
