FanBolt @ Comic Con 2012!
Hey Guys!
So this will be FanBolt's fourth year going to Comic Con out in San Diego. We're covering a ton of shows and movies and we're still getting confirmed for more. So I will be posting threads in this forum for shows/movies we will be covering and asking you guys to submit questions for the cast members of your favorite shows to answer! And follow me on twitter at Emma Loggins (emmaloggins) on Twitter and FanBolt (fanbolt) on Twitter for updates from the convention as well as exclusive pics from the press rooms! Also, feel free to talk about the Con, and if you're going out too - let me know as I'd love to meet up with you! We'll have goodies for those of you that track me down! :-) Thanks! Emma

I hope more of the cast comes. They need to have the whole cast come to this big conventions more. The trio is getting old for me lol. I'll wait till we get more news on more possible guests because I have no questions set yet. July will be here before you know it

I'm sure they'll have more of the cast. They had like 8 cast members there last year. I would expect to also see Candice Accola and Steven McQueen there at the very least. I talked to Zach Roerig back in April when I ran into here in Atlanta and he said he didn't think he would be going. Kat Graham is another one I wouldn't be surprised to see - but she hasn't done SDCC yet so it's hard to tell.

I'll see what we can do. They didn't reach out to us last year, but last year was their first year so maybe they'll have more reach out this year!

Yeah there's a number of pilots they plan on showing. So far I've heard that 666 Park Avenue, Arrow, Cult, Revolution, and The Following will all have pilot showings. I would expect a couple more to be announced as well. Haven't heard anything about early movie showings... though this is a week before Dark Knight - so I wouldn't be too surprised to see HEAVY promotion for the film and possibly an early screening - but I haven't heard of anything yet.

Comic-Con 2012: IRON MAN 3, THE HOBBIT, MAN OF STEEL, PACIFIC RIM and TWILIGHT Coming to Hall H; No-Shows: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES and STAR TREK 2
We’re a month away from San Diego Comic-Con 2012, so all of the Twilight fans can start lining up outside Hall H right now. Yes, it’s been confirmed that Lionsgate-Summit’s finale, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, will be making an appearance in the “halliest of halls” this summer. But what else will make the con worth standing in the Hall H line? How about Iron Man 3, Man of Steel and Pacific Rim for starters? Unfortunately, Comic-Con looks to be a no-show for The Dark Knight Rises (except for maybe a Tumbler Tour), but that should come as no surprise. What IS surprising is the lack of any Star Trek 2 presence. Hit the jump for more scheduling information and details on what you can (and can’t) see at Comic-Con 2012. Here’s a reminder that Hall H will also be featuring the TV panel for The Big Bang Theory on Friday in an effort to, not only provide more space for the legions of loyal and intelligent fans, but also to fill in the gaps left by vacating studios. Fringe and Supernatural will also be in Hall H, but during Sunday, which is normally slotted for TV panels. So which movie studios are no-shows? Variety is reporting that Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Relativity Media, DreamWorks and DreamWorks Animation are all skipping out on Hall H this year. Universal hasn’t confirmed one way or the other. Here’s what we do expect to see: Disney/Marvel: Iron Man 3 (May 3, 2013)iron-man-3 Disney: Wreck-It Ralph (November 2, 2012) Oz: The Great and Powerful (March 8, 2013) Warner Bros.: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (December 14, 2012) Man of Steel (June 14, 2013) Legendary Pictures (w/ Warner Bros. as distributors): Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim (July 12, 2013) – unconfirmed Sony (all unconfirmed): Total Recall (August 3, 2012) Premium Rush (August 24, 2012) Kevin James’ martial-arts comedy, Here Comes the Boom (October 12, 2012) Will Smith in M. Night Shyamalan’s After Earth (June 7, 2013) Lionsgate/Summit: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 kristen-stewart-twilight-breaking-dawn-part-2-comic-con(November 16, 2012) The Expendables 2 (August 17, 2012) Dredd (September 21, 2012) – unconfirmed If Universal decides to turn up, we could see something from R.I.P.D., starring Ryan Reynolds in a June 28th, 2013 release. The studio could also showcase The Bourne Legacy (August 3, 2012) and 47 Ronin (February 8, 2013). If Paramount decides to show, we could see (emphasis on the “could”) something new, perhaps, from G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which was pushed back to a March 29th, 2013 opening date, owing to reshoots, 3D post-conversion and a Channing Tatum infusion. Equally plagued and hungry for a dose of good PR is the Brad Pitt-starrer, World War Z (June 21, 2013). If Paramount doesn’t show, don’t expect to see any glimpses of Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (January 11, 2013), Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher (December 21, 2012) or, disappointingly, anything from Star Trek 2 (May 17, 2013). Comic-Con 2012: Hall H Movie Studios Include Marvel, Disney, Sony and Lionsgate-Summit |

Doesn't look like Dark Knight or Star Trek 2 will be there based on announcements that went out today.

It's going to be an amazing line up this year, you're going to have your hands full Emma!
My work wasn't willing to give me the time off for SDCC, so I won't be attending this year. Of course it's one of the best years yet. I'm really looking forward to hearing all about The Hobbit, Iron Man 3, and if they can get their act together, World War Z and Hansel and Grettel. I was super disappointed to hear that Star Trek 2 is probably a no show. |
