WGA strike

Trying to figure out the best place to have this discussion. What do people here think about it? I'm personally all for it. Sure it'll mean a shorter tv season, but rock on, writers, for doing what you feel you ought to have. Greedy studios.

Same here, I'm all for strikes if they're fair, they deserve the money, without them there's no TV,
Hope this gets settled ASAP... but I doubt it.

I know... too bad it had to come to this, ah well, you can't reason with greedy, powerful people that are full of themselfes.

But i have to say, that this is the first (ok almost firs) strike that I ever heard of in America.

I completely agree with the case of the writers, but good lord I want this thing to end quickly.

I'm totally behind the writers as well..

It's just sucky timing.

I'm finally in the States and then they go on strike.

More power to them... I suport strikes in general, as far as you're not killing anyone (like some Brazilian doctors

If it means a reprieve from dumb ass reality tv shows for a while, I welcome it. Personally don't mind watching syndicated episodes of some quality sitcoms. Maybe would even get my lazy ass off the couch to get some excercise for a change (lol)

Isnt that kinda selfish? This is the livelihood of those people who give you your shows every week.

I support the writers. And felt horrible last Saturday, as I walked down Broadway, and past them picketing. They are not enjoying this. But it is something that they believe in, and that is admirable.

As someone who was once part of a work action, I understand where they are coming from, and the personal decision that goes into going on strike.
