My heart goes out to his family, especially his son, Luke. He had a great life, and I hope they can find a way to find peace and comfort in that, and the love he had for his family.
Rest in peace, Tim.

It sucks that Tim Russert died. He was a good at his job. I can't believe what Chris Matthews said about Russert. It was so direspectful and in bad taste. I heard a soundbyte of Matthews basically saying that Russert was a dope because he was for the war when it first started. Matthews went onto to say that Russert bought what the Bush administration sold about the war. he said that Russert was like many Americans who bought into the war in the beginning. I thought that was so direspectful. Tim Russert has died and Matthews wants to him as a tool for his own political opinion.

Well, Chris Matthews is an ass...lol. No surprise, there.
As for Tim, he truly left a mark, not only through Meet the Press, but in American politics. While I didnt always agree with him, I always respected him. Rest in peace, Tim. I hope your successor has half the insight, knowledge and integrity that you did. To quote Tino Martinez (When he replaced Don Mattingly as the Yankee's first baseman) "How do you replace a legend?"
