Interesting coming right after the whole Prop 8 Scandal..or let's be fair the Prop 8 passage.

The same people who don't want gay people to adopt children are the ones totally against abortion. So they want more and more unwanted children in the world, and they don't want people who can provide a loving and stable home to take in those children. Stupid.

This individual is basically saying that they don't like being gay but they are forced to be gay because they were born that way. Honestly, I can't stand that defense. It's a cop out if you ask me. Besides, I thought most gay people were suppose to embrace their homosexuality and be proud of it. If you're gonna be gay, don't play the victim or the "woe is me" crap, it doesn't help your case.

If homosexuals in California did not want gay marriage to be voted on in their state, then they should have done a better job of trying to get it not put on the ballot. In a way, you could say it's their fault. I mean if gays were truely passionate about wanting to be able to get married, they would have never let people get enough signatures to put prop 8 on the ballot. I think it's hilarious that gay people in California and around the world still cannot accept defeat. Sore losers if you ask me. You lost. Time to move on.

It's the truth. Nobody likes a sore loser. The gay community or movement or whatever they call themselves lost on Proposition 8. They need to accept it. They may not like it or agree it but the voters have spoken. Accept it.

I sort of disagree i have to say, I think your generalisation is probably correct as many who are against gay adoption are most likely going to be against abortion, but I think in the case of abortion, it is a very complex case to just say 'so they want more and more unwanted children in the world', I'm not really for abortions, I don't condemn people who have them because its their choice but I'm not a fan of it, yet, hypocritical i know, if I ever got pregnant now, I'd have no choice but to have an abortion because i'm asian and to be unmarried and pregnant when I'm not meant to be having sex would probably create holes in my family. Abortions aren't as easy as getting rid of the foetus because they have major emotional implications, it can mentally scar you having one, my friend had one a few years ago and she still has moments when it still affects her badly.

But I agree that there's no reason why gay people can't make good parents, the amount of children who have an unstable and horrid childhood seem to be increasing and not enough is done to help these children. If a gay couple, who are stable enough to provide, love and cherish a child want to adopt, I don't see why not. The sole family type isn't a nuclear family anymore, we've become a very diverse group of people after all...

Prop 8 didn't prevent gays from marrying, it took away their existing right to do so. The rights of the people, of any group, should never be subject to popular vote.
