Saturday Night Live
Anybody else a big fan of SNL? I never miss a show. I have loved this show my whole life. Even when it was not as good I still watched. What are some of everybodies favorite cast members, sketches, and memories from past and present. I personally think John Belushi was great and his Samurai sketches were hilarious. Currently I think Kristen Wiig is the most talented member of the cast. How about you?

Tomorrow's episode looks to be a rerun (already?!) of the season premier hosted by Megan Fox and musical guest U2.
It will be interesting to see how t hey air the "Biker Chick" sketch in which Jenny Slate dropped the f-bomb in the original live episode. |

I love Belushi, I have a Blues Brothers coffee mug and desktop at work as well as an "action figure" of The Samurai!
Andy Samberg's digital shorts are great! They put together a CD called Incredibad and it has a bunch of the songs like D--k in a Box, I'm On a Boat, and Lazy Sunday. |

I love Incredibad by The Lonely Island! hahaha! anyway, I do like the show. My favorite cast members from what I've watched are Tracy Morgan, Horacio Sanz, Adam Sandler, Andy Sandberg, Kristen Wiig (She is currently the most talented cast member. what a range she is great.), Jimmy Fallon, Will Farrell, and Chris Farley. Love the music performances on there too!

Taylor Swift will be hosting Saturday Night Live tonight and she will be the musical guest as well. I am guessing they will have some reference to her interruption by Kanye, probably during her monologue.

I thought Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a good job. He was obviously trying very hard and wanted to be there (some hosts seem like they don't really want to do it). Although, it seems like Gordon-Levitt sang in every sketch. I kid of wonder why. Dave Matthews' Ozzy impression was spot-on

OK, I just had the best (and most tiring) weekend ever!
To start I already had tickets to the December 5th SNL Live show. I got to NY Friday afternoon and made the journey to NBC Studios on 49th Street. I got there and was first in the Standby line (this is line to get into a show if ticket holders don't show up). They hand them out numerically like a deli so first in line gets #1, etc. I wanted to get standby tickets for the dress rehearsal. So I basically camped out in front of NBC Studios until 7am when they gave out tickets. I was ticket # 1 for the dress rehearsal. While in line I met Fred Armisen and Bobby Moynihan as they were coming out of the building. They were so nice. It was really cool! So I went back to where I was staying and sleot until about 4pm and then headed back towards the studio. The standy tickets are no guarantee you will get in. They let in the first 6 standbys so I was able to go to the dress rehearsal. It was about 2 hours long and had 3-4 sketches that didn't make it to the live show (one about 'Paparazzi Brothers" was hilarious!). Then when I got out I ran immediately to the line for ticket holders for the live show and went in and watched the live show. It was so fun and really cool to see the differences and edits. After that I waited outside the studio and was able to meet Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis and Will Forte. I saw Lorne Michaels but didn't talk to him. It was so cool and an experience I will remember forever! |
