Bunheads
Hey guys! I work with ABC Family and wanted to give you the heads up on some of our new shows coming out this summer. The first of our new shows premieres on June 11 and is called Bunheads. It stars Broadway vet Sutton Foster and Gilmore Girls alum Kelly Bishop. It is about an ex-ballerina-turned-Vegas-showgirl who moves to small town and ends up teaching at her mother-in-law’s dance school. If you’re a Gilmore Girls fan, you’ll love the show – it’s made by the same creator (Amy Sherman-Palladino), so it has the same snappy dialogue that we all loved so much

Awww, what’s wrong with the title? It’s kinda catchy, don’t you think? It’s a term that ballerinas use since they wear their hair in buns all the time. Have you seen any of the sneak peeks yet? Maybe it’ll help change your mind!

i usually like everything that abc family airs, i will be checking this out. and i can see the Gilmore Girls vibe, but nothing will come close to beating GG. that will always be my fav show.

Awesome! Did you know that executive producer Amy Sherman-Palladino was a bunhead herself growing up? So the show is really personal for her…and any Gilmore Girl fan will definitely love the series! We’re previewing the pilot for a very limited time on select sites - if you get the chance, let me know your thoughts!

This type of show is not my cup of tea, but I definitely think it fits into the ABC Family vibe. Nothing will replace Gilmore Girls for me, I still watch repeats every day! I'm not really a fan of any of the dance or voice-based shows, so that's my main reason for not giving this one a chance, but there is a huge fanbase for this type of show out there, so I expect ratings to level out pretty high on this one - let's see if it lasts!

I am going to check it out, the ads look super cute, can totally tell it is Amy Palladino's writing style just by the ads alone. Freaky seeing former GG cast members on this show though to me though. I am looking forward to giving it a shot though, being I love other ABC Family shows.

Oh I’m glad you liked the pilot! You’ll love the rest of the season – promise! I think you if you like Gilmore Girls, you should at least check out the first episode. It’s definitely got that unmistakable Amy Sherman-Palladino vibe, not just an ABC Family vibe! While the show is centered around a ballet school, it deals with a lot more than just dance – it deals with different kinds of relationships, growing up, and the ability to learn new things – kind of like Gilmore Girls! You can still watch the pilot episode online…give it a shot, and let me know your thoughts!

watched the premiere last night, and totally loved every minute of it. this looks like its going to be a great show. kinda surprised at the end though. didn't think they would do something like that in the first episode.
