Doctor Who is AMAZING. My friend got me started on it and I was like "wow, this kind of stupid" but I totally fell in love.

I'm obsessed now.

im trying to get some of my friends to watch but the refuse! i tell them as soon as they see an episode they will be hooked but no1! they dont wanna watch!

I'm scared to tell people to watch it, cause it might be confusing if you haven't seen it all, especially these recent eppys. But my cousin got me into it and I really did watch one episode and get hooked. This was after the first season was already over and I had a DW marathon for days, it was lovely.

I watched Turn Left, extremely interesting about life in general. Loved how it incorporated past episodes. Stolen Earth either tonight or tomorrow. Attempting to put it off so I don't suffer too much waiting for the final part, but it's SO tempting.

I think a great episode for showing off the series and giving a brief intro to the Doctor is "Blink." Yes, it's a Doctor-light episode, but because it's a mystery as to who the Doctor is, we get a nice explanation, and it's a wonderful script that I think anyone can appreciate and enjoy.

I think Tennant will be here for a while, but rumors are starting about who'll replace him when he does leave. The Sun is suggesting that Jennifer Saunders is high on the list. What do you all think about the idea of a female Doctor? The Rani is a female Time Lord, so it's not without precedent, but DH and I both feel they shouldn't gender-switch the character.

Yeah I think switching the gender would be really weird. For one thing, all the sidekicks are already female so you'd have basically all females on the show. It would be shocking. But Rose is there lusting over him and then it's a girl?

. It would completely change the dynamics of the show.

On the other hand I have high respect for the powers that be at Doctor Who and I think that they'd write it better than I can imagine it, so they might pull it off, who knows? I mean it would have to be handled well.

I hope he's around for awhile! I don't see how he can be though. But like I said, the writers can pull off a lot.
