Wow...nobody has reacted to this yet? I love Everwood! It's such a shame they don't bring seasons 2 to 4 out on dvd! Well...I just love so much Everwood quotes, but here are a few:

Delia: ”Why do you and dad hate each other?”
Ephram: ”We don’t hate each other”
Delia: ”Then how come you wanna leave?”
Ephram: ”It’s hard to explain. Remember last week, it was really cold? You – you tried on some of your old sweaters?”
Delia: ”I got too big for them”
Ephram: ”Yeah…”
Delia: ”I couldn’t move my arms.”
Ephram: ”That’s kind of how I feel about Everwood. Make sense?”
Delia: ”I think so, except…you’re not too big. You fit here.”

The Unveiling
Ephram: ”I’ve been angry at you. I-I’ve been hating you for a long time now. And I was wrong. You never deserved to be treated that way. I’m sorry.”
Andy: ”You don’t need to apologize, Ephram. I failed you as a father for fifteen years. I was never there for you or your mother. That’s why sometimes you feel like throwing me off a cliff and that’s why your mother did what she did. But I don’t blame either of you for it. You know, in the end, it was me who ended up begging her for forgiveness. I told her that things would be different…that I would change…but I wouldn’t have. I might have been better for a while, but then…”
Ephram: ”She loved you. She told me that. She told me that all the time.”
Andy: ”She loved you too. Very much.”
Ephram: ”Yeah, but she lied to me.”
Andy: ”No she didn’t. What happened between us had nothing to do with you. She was right not to tell you. I never should have.”
Ephram: ”Still I’m glad you did. I was making her perfect in my mind, and…”
Andy: ”Well, she was perfect. She was a perfect mother.”
Ephram: ”No, she wasn’t…but that’s ok. I don’t need her to be perfect anymore.”
Andy: ”If you need to be angry…be angry, Ephram. But then forgive her. Tomorrow we fly home to honor your mother in a way she deserves to be honored. Because…maybe she wasn’t perfect, but…she was damn close.” *gives a kiss on Ephram’s forehead*

Episode 1.08: Till death do us part
Dr. Abbott: *Walks in, sees Andy sitting at the bar* ”Are there no safe havens anymore?” (Then, addressing the bartender) ”Macallon 12, neat.”
Andy: ”Another scotch man. We have more in common than I thought.”
Dr. Abbott: ”Make it a Gin & Tonic, Marty.” *Takes off his coat*.
Andy: ”Thought you had a dance class.”
Dr. Abbott: ”Why do you remember that?” *Sits down next to Andy*
Andy: ”Because the image of you merengue-ing, is hard to forget. I take it you’ve decided not to go?”
Dr. Abbott: ”Rose knew I wouldn’t. She signed us up just to make a point.”
Andy: ”What kind of point?”
Dr. Abbott: ”Oh, who knows? That I’m boring or stodgy or…she’s the fun one. I-I know, you wouldn’t think she’d have to struggle to make that point. Nevertheless.”
Andy: ”My wife signed me up for one of those once. I think it was a…ballroom dancing class.”
Dr. Abbott: ”And?”
Andy: ”I didn’t go either. I worked on Christmas, I worked on New Year’s…I worked on Thanksgiving…I was even working when Ephram was born. The only time Julia and I were ever alone, was the one week a year we spent our anniversary together.”
Dr. Abbott: ”You had a difficult schedule to keep.”
Andy: ”I was an idiot.”
Both: *Drinking*
Andy: ”You ever been to Florence?”
Dr. Abbott: ”Not yet. It is on my list.”
Andy: ”It’s amazing.” *Smiles* ”Julia and I spent our honeymoon there.” *Beat*
”You should go. You should take Rose to Florence. I bet she’d love it.”
Dr. Abbott: ”Yes, well…maybe next summer.”
Andy: ”You can run out of those, you know.”
Dr. Abbott: ”Run out of what?”
Andy: ”Next summers. I know you think I left my sanity back in New York, Harold…”
Dr. Abbott: ”Perhaps you should go back and locate it.”
Andy: ”…But I can tell you this much: if you’re lucky enough to meet the right woman, and she’s stupid enough to fall in love with you…you hang on to her like a son of a bitch.”

This I think was one of the most heartbreaking I've seen:

Andy: *Sits down on a church bench* ”I’m surprised this place isn’t falling down right now.”
*He pauses, changes his position. Next he’s folding his hands together.*
”Just over eight months ago…that was the last time I knew life was worth living. All my dreams died with Julia. I wake up every morning and I wish I was still asleep. See…the thing is, I…my heart’s still pumping, I’m still breathing, I -- I still move in the world, but…I’ve lost my joy. We don’t talk a lot. I don’t complain to you. I don’t ask for favors. I don’t whine about fairness. And I never believed that you owed me anything. But I am telling you right now; I have got nothing left.” *Swallows*
”I used to have gift. Now everything I touch, every -- everyone I touch is just…just as broken as I am. I got two kids, who need a mother ánd a father and – These day’s I’m not much good to anyone, let alone them. I thought I knew what you needed from me. I thought I knew what my life was about…” *Shakes his head*
”But…I don’t know anything.” (His voice trembles) ”You gotta help me. Please. Please give me my joy back.” *Cries and puts his face down, sobbing*

Episode 1.07: We hold these truths
Ephram: ”So…how did it go?”
Andy: ”Ok. I don’t know if we did any good. From here on in, it’s wait-and-see.”
Ephram: ”I meant…how did it go for you?”
Andy: *Pauses* ”Truthfully? *Changes position* ”I was scared.”
Ephram: ”Scared?”
Andy: ”Umm-hmm. You called it, remember?”
Ephram: ”W-well, what were you scared of?”
Andy: ”That I would fail Colin…Amy…the Harts…you.”
Ephram: *Looks at Andy in awe* ”You were scared you would fail me?”
Andy: *Nods* ”Yeah. I was. But the music helped. Bobby Short. Inspired choice. Very New York.”
Ephram: *Smiles* ”Glad you liked it.”
Andy: *Looks at the table* ”Travel games, huh? You know, I always wondered what people did to kill time while we worked. You up for a quick game of travel scrabble?”
Ephram: ”There is no way I’m playing you in scrabble. You’ve been published in the Scientific American. But I will kick your butt in Clue.”
Andy: ”Oh, I think not, Professor Plum.” *Picks up the box* ”Clue doesn’t come travel-sized?”
Ephram: ”One of the worlds greater atrocities.”

Episode 1.06: The doctor is in
Andy: ”What the Harts decided is their prerogative, and we have to respect that.”
Ephram: ”What the Harts decided? What you decided for ’em. This is so typical. The one time it
matters , you --”
Andy: ”It always matters, Ephram. It just so happens that this time, it matters to you.
But that doesn’t mean that I --”
Ephram: ”Amy matters to me. And as pathetic as it may be, you were her only shot. She’s not used to being let down by you. Not yet.”
Andy: ”Listen to me, Ephram. These people asked me what I would do if it were my son. And I told them that I thought it was risky. It’s tempting to leap in and try and surgically fix things.”
Ephram: ”That’s a load. You know it. If it were your son, I-I-if it were me, you’d let me sit there in a coma when there was a zillionth-of-a-percent chance you could ride in on your white horse and safe me? I don’t think so. And if I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were scared.”

(I love how Ephram sees right through Andy here ) And one I personally think is kind of funny:

Episode 1.04: The Kissing Bridge
Amy: ”My dad is gonna kill me.”
Ephram: ”I’m sure he’ll understand when you tell him why you went.”
Amy: ”That’s not the way it works in my house.”
Ephram: ”How does it work?”
Amy: ”He yells, I apologize, there’s a sentencing of some sort and then I plea-bargain with my mother until the sentence gets reduced.”
Ephram: ”In my house it’s more like: I yell, he yells, we both keep yelling, and eventually someone gets tired.”
Amy: ”Sounds good to me.”

There are a lot more, but maybe all I'll post some more later. Every episode is just full of great dialogues! My all-time favorite is Ephram's Tragic-Flaw speech, but since that one's been posted before, I decided to post some that I haven't seen around here yet.
