Can Everwood Be Saved? - Kristen at EOnline.Com's Chat

Everwood, wb, cast To tubey or not to tubey? That is the question. Let's tackle your Q's, starting with the topic at the top of my mind (and the one everyone's asking about): Everwood.

From Cerry_Letrich: I'm in serious mourning! No more Everwood? Can anything be done? Are the rumors true that the CW is back in talks and might pick it up?

I'm so right there with you and cannot understand the decision to pick up 7th Heaven over Everwood for a single nanosecond! I, too, have heard the rumors that the CW is back in talks about Everwood and immediately contacted former Everwood boss Rina Mimoun (who's now helming Gilmore Girls). This is what she told me: "You are the second person who has told me about this. I told the first person there was no way it could be true--sets have been torn down, contracts expired, all writers are elsewhere and some actors have already moved on to other projects. However, I am not necessarily the first person anyone would contact if they were considering such a thing, so I guess it's possible that talks are happening. (Obviously, 7th Heaven was "officially" finished, too, until it was, uh, not.) All I can say for sure is that no one has contacted me, and I'm fairly certain no one has contacted [Everwood creator] Greg [Berlanti] either. I guess only time will tell. And if our finale beats the 7th Heaven finale? Who knows." That said, if it's still Monday when you're reading this, here's what I need from you: Stop what you are doing, draft an email to everyone single person you know, and beg them to watch tonight's series finale. If the numbers are huge, we just might get a miracle! So, please, please, please watch! This show is too good to die.
