EVERWOOD & VERONICA MARS JOINT VENTURE

The success of a fan campaign for a low-rated, high-quality show helpsevery similar show that comes after it because it sets a precedent. It shows that people who care about what is on their television have the power to influence the quality of shows they are offered. The success of the recent Veronica Mars campaigns have drawn attention to the power of a loyal fanbase, and the attention that the press is starting to give Everwood's current campaigns, which include trying to get Seasons 2–4 released on DVD, will likely help Veronica Mars next season. Hopefully both campaigns will help similar quality shows with devoted fanbases in the coming years.

In the name of this, the Veronica Mars and Everwood fandoms have decided to share information with each other. We will keep each other updated on what campaigns we are working on, including smaller stuff that the other fandom may want to participate in and bigger stuff that the other fandom can learn from. This will help us keep an eye on what is happening in the other fandom and what sort of response their actions are getting. If we ever want to borrow an idea, then we'll know who to contact that could walk us through the process.



EVERWOOD MERCHANDISE DESIGN IDEAS

So, we are teaming up with the Veronica Mars fans at http://community.livejournal.com/cloud_watchers/ to get involved and keep updated with each others' campaigns. The "Cloud Watchers," these are the VM fans who rented the plane, have been nice enough to offer putting up Everwood merchandise in their Cafe Press store located at http://www.cafepress.com/cloudwatchers The proceeds from this merchandise will be donated towards our Everwood Campaign just like thetvaddict's Cafe Press items proceeds are donated from his store at http://www.cafepress.com/thetvaddict

So, to start off this fabulous idea, I'm putting out a call for designs that you would like to see on this new merchandise. We're looking for quotes and references from Everwood, so we have something different that not only Everwood fans, but also Veronica Mars fans may be interested in purchasing! So, for example, we could have a Ferris Wheel with the quote "You're My One." And for a reference shirt, we could have a graphic that says "Sam's" on it with a cute little phrase about the restaurant/cafe, or say a picture of sheet music and/or a piano and a blurb about music lessons by Ephram. Something catchy and unique that you wouldn't find just anywhere.
