....And other CW news.

Everwood, wb, cast Monday afternoon was fairly light. Nothing earth-shattering to report, and even The CW Stars Party wasn't all that packed. They had lined the Ritz Carlton's horseshoe garden with lovely white couches, most of which were empty. The cast of "Veronica Mars" was there hanging out, although I heard that Kristen Bell came, saw and went -- don't blame her, Tuesday is her birthday. I'd want to get away from the network madness, too.

Jason Dohring ("Veronica's" Logan) hung out for a good long time, though, and unlike many of his teen dream counterparts from WB party's past, looked like he was having a good time without being a jackass. Quite refreshing.

Earlier in the day, a questioner asked Dawn Ostroff if she knew that "Everwood" fans rented a ferris wheel to erect across the street from the network's offices, apparently a nod to the series finale, which had the carnival ride in it. She did not, she said with a smile, likely cursing to herself about the traffic snarl this stunt was going to cause.

Sadly, it's a cute but pointless act. Ostroff explained that in the choice between resurrecting "7th Heaven" and bringing back "Everwood," "Heaven" won out because it was the highest rated show of either network, and "Everwood's" audience skewed the oldest.
