'Everwood' Co-Star Gets Pastor-ized

Emily VanCamp, the beloved Amy Abbott on the late "Everwood," has signed on for a female lead in an upcoming thriller from Paramount's boutique shingle Vantage.

Chris Pine ("Just My Luck") is already on board the untitled, which focuses on four friends in the fleeing from a deadly virus. Close quarters cause tensions to arise, leading to new dangers.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, VanCamp will play Kate, a "goody-two-shoes whose family dies from the disease."

No hilarity ensues.

The cast also includes Lou Taylor Pucci ("Thumbsucker") and Piper Perabo ("Coyote Ugly").

The project is written and directed by Alex and David Pastor.

The 20-year-old VanCamp, whose "Everwood" tenure ended this spring, has feature credits including "Lost and Delirious" and "The Ring Two."
