Eddie Izzard

Eddie Izzard can be proud of himself. He did something very few people have done – in 51 days he completed an astonishing series of 43 marathons!

Eddie's 1,100-mile gallop around the back roads of Britain intended to raise money for charity. Being a celebrity has its specific duties and since Cheryl Cole scaled Kilimanjaro, and David Williams swam the English Channel, physical achievements have become a popular area for self-development for the stars.

If you decide to follow the stand-up comedian’s way of life then keep in mind that your day will begin at 6.30am and end with a quick shower, an icy bath, and compression socks on your calves. Some important information you might find useful is that overtraining may lead to sleepless nights and sleeping tablets.

After all those marathons, Eddie Izzard is now busy with radio presenting so listen carefully to hear his voice on The Stanley Baxter Show (Radio 2), and on Chain Reaction (Radio 4).

Fans are eagerly waiting for Eddie Izzard’s appearance in the brand new movie Rage, where Jude Law reveals the feminine side of him and Judi Dench and Steve Buscemi complete the colors of the story.

OK, I am trying to make a list of movies that fall within a certain genre. These are movies that are "action movies" but are not too serious and almost corny. Also, they are not trying to be comedies (like Tropic Thunder). They are just fun movies you might watch if they came on TV and keep you attention for those with ADD. Here are a few examples. Can you think of any more?

1. Con Air
2. Independence Day
3. Deep Blue Sea (while Jaws would be too serious)

I'm thinking the cast of the West Wing were better at remembering their lines and did not need to use a Teleprompter.

Nicolas Cage, I feel like an addictive gambler when it comes to this man, because there are times where he has some really great moviesthen he has moments where I wonder if he was drinking when he accepted other movies. He has some really great acting moments, but it seems like his movies lately, he just looks tired and like he stayed up the whole night memorizing his lines not realizing he hasn't had any sleep for 6 weeks. I don't know, I'm not quite sure why this has a high rating right now, but we'll see in the next few weeks, because honestly I wasn't all that thrilled with Knowing. From the trailer this looked really exciting, but instead we got a movie that just took itself too seriously. I thought it was mainly just poor writing for the story and the characters.

In 1959, a competition is held amongst the students of a new elementary school to celebrate its opening. The winning plan, from student Lucinda Embry, is to bury a time capsule containing the students' drawings of the future to be opened 50 years later in 2009. She is prevented from finishing her image, which is actually a series of seemingly random numbers, and goes missing during the ceremony. Her teacher later finds her in a gym closet frantically scratching the remaining numbers on the door. Fifty years later, the time capsule is opened and the pictures are handed down to the new generation of students. Caleb, the son of MIT professor and astrophysicist John Koestler, receives Lucinda's envelope. While initially dismissing them as random numbers, John accidentally discovers that the numbers have accurately predicted the dates, death tolls, and locations of every major disaster in the last 50 years; three of the events have not yet occurred. Decoding and discovering that one of the three may lead to the end of the world.

Is this a movie that you have to see in the theater? There is one scene that only the big screen can do justice and that was the airplane crash scene, even though it was unrealistic it was great to watch. I want to buy some lanyards and silicone wristbandsand, and wear all the wristbands (http://www.ybuw.com), to claim that I support this movie and Nicolas Cage!

Recently I have seen star trek enterprise .The show is just great. Don't let the negative comments sway you. The show has great energy and has more of an original Star Trek feel than the other Trek shows have been. The characters aren't as polished as their later Starfleet counterparts and that's one of the things that set ENT apart. They make mistakes and argue a little more than the other series characters do. ENT has lots of action, great special effects, a good cast (though some are underused which is one big criticism of the show that is valid) and great production values.

My Dad took me and my older sister to see Die Hard in 1988. I was only 6 at the time, but remember it to this day!

Aspiring journalist Dan expected so much more after graduation…but with no job, little ambition and a girlfriend seems more interested in her boss than him, life is not exactly as he planned.

In a bid to get his life back on track and coerced by his womanising flatmate, Dan is introduced to the risqué sex scene that is DOGGING. Encountering an array of weird and wonderful characters looking for the ultimate high, it’s quickly clear that the scene is ripe for a journalistic exposé, which could kick-start his career.

Dropping his inhibitions in the name of research, Dan quickly becomes a regular player in the DOGGING online community. Under the pseudonym “East Of England 8 inches” he meets fellow thrill-seeker “Horny Geordie Lass” and the totally unexpected happens… he falls in love.

Simon Ellis’s debut feature is a heartfelt screwball comedy, which contains sharp observation on love with all the perils, pitfalls and wrong turns it takes to find ‘the one’.

OK, this is something that I think of as kind of a game. Does anybody ever notice when things are out of sorts in a movie? I am always noticing these and was wondering if anybody else did too.

For example, in 'Gone in 60 Seconds' at the end of the movie when Robert Duvall is presenting the car to Nicholas Cage the car is clearly visible, but in the next shot it has a cover on it (which Duvall removes).

I am sure there are tons of these
