Hey I have a question: How come we cannot write the # of posts when entering the information to enter a contest. For some reason I don't see that section there any more only the part asking for my name, e-mail and country. I entered a contest and it said that i have zero posts!

Update on the new contest rules you guys. A lot of people have been entering contests without reading the rules, so we changed up the system a bit to ensure that only active members are elligable.

As of Friday - you won't be able to see the contest forum if you don't have the required number of posts during the contest period. Kraza - while you have 1300 posts, those aren't during the contest period. It has to be 20 posts during the contest period in order for it to count.

You guys know how much I love you all and I want to reward active members - this way ensures that people are active, and also -we had a lot of people saying they had 20 posts when they had infact never posted. So they're no longer able to do this.

Right now you can still enter the contests - and the post count you see when you submit shows you have many you have during the contest period. So if that's not 20 - make sure to post and then go back and enter it again.

Let me know if you guys have any questions - I just want to be sure that the active members are the ones winning all the awesome prizing!

And it's a good way to encourage people to post!

I'm going to change the wording on the page that shows you the post count to make it a bit more clear. the other changes will follow tomorrow

i jus a question, when i entered a contest, it said i had 7 post during the contest period, do i have to get 20 post and then i enter again

Yep yep! Unless that number is over 20 - the system will just delete it, so make sure it says 20!

What if I entered a contest before this change and I wrote the total number of posts I had by then? Do I have to enter that contest again even if I'm sure I have 20+ posts for the duration of that contest?
And what about the number of submited headlines for the main page? Will they be counted by the system too?
Other than that, I'm glad you tweaked the contests system because, as you said, it gives better chances to active users while making things a lot more easier for us (and for you, I'm sure

) since we have a way of knowing if we reached the necessary number of posts to qualify for the prize drawing.

You could wait till Friday to verify that you have 20 or more posts. But If it is for a contest that ends before then. I would say reenter to be sure.

If you entered before the posts box was gone then you're fine - no need to resubmit. The headlines system count doesn't affect this at the moment - but we still encourage you to submit headlines as it helps out the site - and we will be weighting the system to favor those members that do post and submit headlines - in other words the more active you are on the site period - the more likely you will be to win.

I know those of you that submit headlines!

I'm glad you guys understand about the changes - I just don't have enough time to manually validate each of the entries - so this will help drastically.

- How I Met Your Mother
- Pandorum
- Coco Before Chanel
- Sanctuary (autographed dvds and pilot script!!!)

Keep checking back throughout the day as they go live!
