    Old Thread

Do you think we need a President who actually believes what they say? Do you think Bill Clinton was a disgrace to this country, and the worst thing to happen since the likes of LBJ? Do you despise the hypocricy of the Liberal Democrats? Do you think Environmentalists should go hug a tree somewhere, and just shut up? Do you think Cindy Sheehan, and her cohorts at, deserve to be institutionalized? Do you think Hillary and her whole "it takes a village" mindset is detrimental to this country? Do you like having politicians with morals, and a strong sense of character, who arent afraid to say what they feel is right? Do you think Iraq is justified, and Saddam Hussein deserved to die? Do you support military spending, and the soldiers who risk their lives everyday for our freedoms?

This thread is just for Conservatives....those who respect the traditions this nation was founded on, are proud of our nations heritage, respect our President, our soldiers, and understand why we are actually in Iraq, apart from the conspiracy theories constantly thrown our way.

So, if you're a Conservative, jump right in. If you're a liberal, this isnt the place for Away.

    So...where were we, guys?

Some videos...I hope you will all watch AND listen:

    Young Con Anthem

    Just Tax

    Barack in Egypt.
No offense, but when he is going to stop kissing ass, and stand up for the nation that elected him. I am sick and tired of his "America Apology tour". What do we have to apologize for, exactly? For standing up for freedom and liberty? And helping nations to achieve the same freedom for its citizens?

I find it ironic that since he has taken office, the American opinion of the Middle East has drastically declined, while the approval ratings of the Bush/Cheney administration has drastically improved.

Can it be that this nightmare will soon be over? BEFORE he ruins the lives of my children, and my childrens children?

So, lasy Friday, as I was driving down to the Jersey shore, I was freaking out about the whole cap and tax bill going before Congress...especially since it was reported that my Congressman was on the fence (which, frankly, shocked me).

So, in desperation, I called his home I talked with one of his went something like this:

      Staffer: Congressman ****'s Office
Me: Yes, Im calling in regards to the Cap and Tax bill going before the House.
Staffer: Can I get your mailing address?
      Me: [gives him the information]
      Staffer: Thank you.
Me: I was wondering how the Congressman is planning to vote.
      Staffer: He is voting now.
      Me: IS HE VOTING NO!?!?!
      Staffer: [laughs] Yes, he is.
Me: Thank you!!! And thank him!!!!
So, the 7 Republicans from NJ who could have killed this thing...they werent mine. My Congressman made the right call. THANK GOD!!

The following editorial recently appeared in a Baghdad newspaper.

Thank You America – And Damn You, You Bastards
          By Jabr Al Jabouri
          Al-Bayyna Al-Jadida [Baghdad]
          July 1, 2009

America chose to save us from the most evil party, and the most despicable President in the universe [Saddam]. Meanwhile, the Arab powers stood firmly against the American project. They used all means to thwart them, but Allah’s will had another say in this matter. America turned the Ba’athists into the world’s laughing stock by showing them fleeing in their underwear on live television. Meanwhile, the Arab powers turned those cowards into national heroes on their satellite channels.

America gave the lives of 4,000 of its people to Iraq’s land to instill security and democracy, while the Arabs sent us their filthy mercenaries who mercilessly murdered, bombed, and slaughtered the Iraqi people.

America came bearing democracy for Iraq, while the Arabs brought us the new religion of the Wahhabis and Salafists. This religion aims to destroy Iraq and return it to the days of minority rule.

America canceled all of our debts and urged the rest of the world to do so, while the Arabs refused to do so and they even demanded payment for every Iraqi citizen living in their countries.

America allowed Shias to practice their religion while the Arabs bombed the Askari shrine. America proposed that the Iraqi President be Kurdish – so that we can prove to the world that Iraq has entered an age of freedom and respect for ethnic minorities. Yet, the Arabs have “removed Iraq from the Arab map,” pointing to the fact that the President is a non-Arab. America urged all honorable Sunnis to take part in the political process, while the Arabs issued a fatwa to kill every Sunni Iraqi who works with the government.

America opened the world to us, while the Arabs slammed their doors in our faces. America urged the world’s countries to open embassies in Iraq. Thus far, the Arabs have not opened embassies… or even acknowledged Iraq’s new democratic regime. America is carrying the burden of removing Iraq from Chapter 7 of the UN Charter, while the Arabs – led by Saudi Arabia – are doing their best to obstruct these efforts.

America urged the Gulf States to allow Iraq to return to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), while the Arabs refused to allow Iraq to join the GCC. The Americans sponsored Iraq membership in international, political, and cultural organizations, while the Arabs expelled the Iraqi Authors and Writers Union from the Arab Writers Union.

America decided to withdraw from Iraq cities and hand these cities over to the Iraq forces on June 30 in preparation for the final withdrawal from Iraq. The Arabs decided to hinder the withdrawal so that their excuse for fighting the occupier and killing the Iraq people can remain. America signed the Strategic Framework Agreement with Iraq, which includes all political, cultural, military, and technological fields. The Arabs issued a decision stating that Iraq is “officially occupied” because we signed the security agreement. Never mind that all these Arab countries have agreements with America. The Arabs decided that every American soldier in Iraq is an occupier that must be killed, while if an American soldier was to be in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, or Egypt he would be considered as a friendly ally that must be treated with respect. The Arabs decided to consider every Iraqi living in America to be a traitor and spy, even though Iraqi people living in America are fewer in numbers than all other Arab nationalities. The Arabs consider every Iraqi who works as a translator for the American forces to be a traitor…

This is how Arabs are, and this is just a drop in a vast ocean. All this is what the Arabs do in public. What they do behind the walls is another matter entirely.

According to American news sources, Saudi Arabia has been trying hard to convince America to return the Ba’athists to power in Iraq. However, the American Administration does not care about what Saudi Arabia thinks or wants in this country.

Today, our American friends are true to their word. They have handed over security responsibilities to the Iraq forces, and they decided to withdraw from the Iraqi cities.

I wonder when the American forces in Saudi Arabia – estimated at 80,000 troops – are going to withdraw. When are the 30,000 U.S. soldiers in Kuwait going to withdraw? When are the American bases in Qatar, Egypt, Oman, Yemen, and all other Arab countries that live off American aid going to be shut down?

The geographically close, but, in humanitarian terms, distant Arab Nation does not deserve any political, cultural and commercial ties with us. Nations that are completely different from and unrelated to us are racing to assist us.

After six years of liberation, we now know who our friend is and who our foe is. We should not give a chance to those idiots who claim that Iraq is part of the Arab Nation. These idiots should understand that Iraq is part the federal, free and democratic world.

awesome to see a thankful Iraqi broadcasting his feelings in a free press.

I sent that article to my brother, who is currently serving in Baghdad. He's been feeling complacent lately over there, and wanted him to know that there are Iraqis that appreciate and value what he risks his life for.

Thank you so much for posting that.

My pleasure. I thought it was a great article and a fresh point of view. I got this email today...thought I'd pass it along:

This healthcare plan is completely ridiculous. I dont trust the government with my money, nevermind my medical care (and I have more medical needs than the average woman my age).

                  Obama needs to be stopped.

The following should be read by Conservative eyes only:

(Lou Pritchett is the author of this opinion and told that he submitted this to the New York Times under the title of "Obama, You Scare Me" but they never published it. Pritchett did say that his article managed to make it to the world wide web where circulation went ballistic. Pritchett is a former vice president of Procter & Gamble and wrote "Stop Paddling and Start Rocking the Boat" as well as numerous books and periodicals.)

"Obama, You Scare Me" by Lou Pritchett

Dear President Obama, You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America' crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

That was good. Thanks for sharing that.

A friend emailed me this. He sent this email to the White House:

                      Salutations Mr. Obama,

I hope early August finds you well.

I am writing this email to let you know I am someone you need to watch. Unlike most of the drooling liberal drones you love, I can read, write, and I can add. I know when I am being sold financial and fiscal snake oil. I know you don't want to improve health-care for people, just take control of that part oft the economy so you can make a nation of free people dependent on your version of the mafia - a socialist federal government. You want to be able to get into our personal lives in a way that owning the car and banking industry just can't accomplish. I can also communicate - with explicit detail and facts, the nature of your con-job. I can verbally and intellectually defeat your abortion of a VP with both hands tied behind my back and a frontal labotomy. I am not going away. I am not going to sit down when your union thugs show up to my door. I worked inside the government and supported the US Congress on financial audits and budget review - I know all the dirty secrets you will try to hide. I can articulate how your statements are factually wrong and lies. I am not alone.

I have many friends with similar intellect, knowledge, and the ability to communicate. We are legion and we cannot be stopped or silenced. Your dictatorial tactics will not work. ACORN, Code Pink, and Rev, Jeremiah Wright are in the minority. WE are the majority. This is OUR country.

Please see my name, email address, and home address attached. I give this to you to demonstrate that I - a free citizen of America - with a birth certificate - is not afraid of you. People are losing confidence in you, no one believes your flowery statements. The bloom is off the rose and the veil has been lifted from the eyes of the Americans you lied to.

We are awake, we are aware, we are resisting, and we are legion.

A nation of free men will not go so easily into the night.

                      Your free ride is over.

                        Wow...that was really powerful.

He should be careful, though. I had a Professor who send criticizing emails to Clinton, and everytime he did, his parents got audited.

And Obama is way worse than Bill ever was. (Never thought Id see the day when I would actually say that.)

On another note, what do you guys think about the liberal response to the town hall meetings? How our open hostility and expressing our freedom of speech is suddenly unamerican?

I loved the response at the Arlen Spector town hall meeting:

“I called your office, and was told I could have the mike to speak. And then I was lied to because I came prepared to speak. I’ll leave. And you can do whatever the hell you please to do. One day God’s going to stand before you, and he’s going to judge you and the rest of your damned cronies up on the Hill. And then you’ll get your just deserts. I’m leaving.
I am a Republican, but first and foremost I am a conservative. I don't think this is just about health care. It's not about TARP. It's not about left and right. This is about the systematic dismantling of this country. I'm only 35, I've never been interested in politics. You have awakened the sleeping giant. We are tired of this. This is why everybody in this room is so ticked off.
I don't want this country turning into Russia, turning into a socialized country...What are you going to do to restore this country back to what our founders created, according to our Constitution?
George Washington is rolling over in his grave right now
It says plainly right there they want to limit the type of care elderly can get, they are talking about killing people.

GW would be rolling over in his grave. All of the founding fathers and mothers of this country would be up in arms right now. MNBC would be labeling them as Nazis and Klansmen at this point.

Heather & Justino, Thankyou both for posting these letters, I feel exactly like this but I am not a great letter writer and this was very well written. I am going to send this to some friends. I wrote a few letters to the White House myself and now worry if that was a bad idea but we need to speak up. I constantly write my Congressman and Senator and luckily they are conservative. I have not put on the news today yet but read that Obama was going to have another Town Hall meeting that was not "Staged" right..Anyways the reason why some of these people are getting hostlie is they are worried, scared and they are not being listened to. I can really understand their frustration and I applaud them for standing up!

Yesterday I attended Sean Hannity's Freedom Concert in Jackson, NJ. It was the third concert I have attended, and I am proud to do so. For those of you who dont know, the Freedom Concert is funded by Oliver North's Freedom Alliance. They raise money so that the children of fallen soldiers can go to college. Its basically a scholarship fund for the children of our nation's heroes.

                              This concert was particularly moving.

Billy Ray Cyrus closed the show...and Ollie introduced a gold star family, as well, as the brother of a NYFD worker who lost his life on 9/11. Then Billy Ray performed a song that brought me to tears.

                              Here are the lyrics:

I knew a man, called him Sandy Kane
Few folks even knew his name
But a hero, yes, was he
Left a boy, came back a man
                              Still many just don't understand
About the reasons we are free

I can't forget the look in his eyes
                              Or the tears he cried
As he said these words to me:

All gave some, some gave all
Some stood through for the red, white and blue
                              And some had to fall
If you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
                              Some gave all

Sandy Kane is no longer here
But his words are oh so clear
As they echo through out our land
For all his friends who gave us all
Who stood the ground and took the fall
                              To help their fellow man...

Love your country and live with pride
And don't forget those who died
                              America, can't you see...

All gave some and some gave all
Some stood through for the red, white and blue
                              And some had to fall
If you ever think of me,
Think of all your liberties and recall...
                              Some gave all

If you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall,
                              Some gave all.

                              Some gave all.
Thinking about the military is part of what gets me so angry at Obama and his administration, and liberals in general. When liberal leaders in Congress and the Senate equate our soldiers to Nazi storm troopers...yes, I get pissed off.

Because while these heroes...these brave men and women are dying for our freedoms, they get nothing but criticism from liberals in Washington who do nothing but undermine their missions and treat them as a statistic.

Well, I have a brother and a cousin in Iraq, risking their lives day in and day out. Why? So we can enjoy the freedoms set forward by our founders. The same freedoms our Constitution assures us. And while they are risking their lives, and have their brothers and sisters in combat dying, we are being stripped of our freedoms by the current administration.

That is why I am so angry, passionate, and frankly, pissed off.
