The Silent Partner is at netflixs. A mix of drama, suspense, with a sprinkle of comedy and romance, and a punch of violence.

The Silent Partner(1978) R

After discovering a secret plot to rob the bank at which he works, timid teller Miles Cullen (Elliot Gould) cunningly hides a large portion of the cash in his own safe-deposit box. After the robbery, master criminal Harry Reikle (Christopher Plummer) discovers that he's been duped and puts the squeeze on Cullen to hand over the money. Shot in Canada with a primarily Canadian cast, this tense thriller features a cameo from comedian John Candy.

Genre: Crime Dramas, Action Thrillers, Heist Films

This movie is: Suspenseful, Scary, Violent

Format: DVD

Sunshine is a really great movie I saw last year. Only saw a trailer and waited it to come in theaters... to no avail. Finally saw it was out at the video store, so I rented it, and it was top notch from special effects, to story, to cast, everything. I was surprised not many people had even heard of it.

Clay Pigeons

It appeals to my quirky sense of humor and has some great actors in it

One of my favorites was Sitting Ducks (1980). An early independent comedy had me watching over and over again back then.

One of my favorite movies, hands down is a flick called Late for Dinner.

I haven't met anyone else who has seen it except for my mom, so I know it wasn't my imagination. I would love to see it again and show it to my daughter.

I don't know the actors in it-I think I'll be going to google next......

Silent Partner - very good, some laughs, but mainly suspense. Bank robbery gone weird.

twinreader is on a distinguished road
I loved The Commitments. It was an Irish indie about a group of underemployed people in their twenties who form the "first Irish soul band." I still have the soundtrack for the movie.

I accept with information:The cinematography was outstanding, and paired with an equally impressive soundtrack it created beautiful scenes of the Korean countryside, as well as enhancing the generally poignant, nostalgic mood of the film. The acting was first class all around in my opinion, the movie could've so easily gone overboard with bad-acting considering the general plot of the movie.
