Definitely not, I think he's lovely! And I feel bad for him atm, considering Quinn screwed him up and then Santana is stringing him along.

I'm rewatching the season and it's the Justin episode
 I actually love his Justin Beiber impressions, it was awesome! He's so adorable and lovely! I want him to fight back and not let Santana treat him like Quinn did because he doesn't deserve it.

Guh i hates Beiber, I am not a lover of that boy
but I think he was brilliant, how ridiculous, a hairstyle change and a hoodie is all you need to be a ladies magnet

I am so curious to see what they do with his character. I definitely find it weird that his two love interests have been more about being popular/on top and not so much about feelings. he's a hot guy, why doesn't he have a legit girlfriend he likes? The relationship with Santana in particular is just bizarre since she flat out mocks him all the time. I don't see it lasting much longer.
I want Sam to be with someone who doesn't tell him to change who he is. Let him speak Na'vi and do impressions. It's cute! |

I agree, I think Sam needs someone who deserves him, neither Quinn nor Santana really deserve him, they're not with him for the right reasons for starters. I think it'd be nice if he got someone who was genuinely interested in him and wouldn't hurt him, etc, because he's so lovely!

I saw an interview with Ian Brennan (one of the three writers for the show) where he was talking about the show and balancing characters. He mentioned "Rachel and Finn and Sam" which I took as a good sign that Sam is an important character for them. I've definitely seen some fans (usually Blaine fans) talk about how they are going to write Sam off the show so Blaine can take his place, which just makes me roll my eyes so hard. Sam has had more character development than a lot of characters this season, especially Blaine.

I don't think they'd write Sam off, he's been in every episode, either as an actual storyline or a side plot, so it'd make no sense for them to get rid of Sam. Sam has got more than love interest potential too, which should be interesting to watch if the writers do anything about it, so I can't them ridding us of the cutiepie

I'm glad about that. Though I have to admit, I'm so confused on the kids ages! And I though Sam was a senior too so it makes me all the more confused

The ages are definitely confusing. I think all we know for sure is that Kurt is the youngest (according to Chris) and that Sam should be younger than Finn since he's kind of his replacement for when Finn graduates next year. I'm guessing Quinn and Puck will too, but I have no idea about the rest of the characters...
I was going to post this on the Kurt thread since we were talking Kurt/Sam there, but this is actually more about Sam, so. Next week's repeat was supposed to be the Superbowl eppy but they did a last minute change and now it's Duets! They have already repeated it once during the winter hiatus, so it's odd that they would repeat it yet again. So that's a red flag right there. However, a lot of people consider Duets to be the episode that, like Preggers last season, set up a majority of the storylines for the season. Duets set up and foreshadowed the Finn/Rachel break up, Finn having feelings for Quinn, Santana/Brittany/Artie, Artie/Tina/Mike, Kurt getting a boyfriend, etc etc. BUT! One of the major plots was two characters questioning Sam's sexuality. It's interesting they would choose now, before the last stretch of episodes, to remind us of that plot. It's pretty much the only thing from Duets that hasn't come back into play yet. I don't think we're in for Sam/Quinn round two, so... I'm intrigued. Last edited by Amanda; 04-07-2011 at 01:23 PM. |

It'll be weird having a Glee club with half the originals and more new faces, you get acustomed to the kids and they all mingle so well, it'll be interesting to see the new faces though!
Do you think they're hinting that they never really dropped the Sam storyline and they're just holding it for this last part of the season? I think it could be a set up for season 3 then, I think they may set up Puck/Quinn, Finchel reunion and Sam's sexuality for season 3 in the finale, at least I hope so?

I have no idea. On one hand, I can see how Sam's original storyline could definitely still be in play. The secret he had, the whole hair metaphor that was brought up again with Kurt and Jeremiah, the way he only dates girls for status and not cause he actually likes them...
On the other hand, I've heard FOX loooves Darren Criss and that is why the Dalton story has lasted as long as it has. (Originally Blaine was only supposed to be in a few episodes.) So I can see there interference with the show affecting the Kurt storyline. Plus there is always that complaint that there are "too many gays" even though Ryan Murphy ignores that. So. I really have no idea. If Sam isn't gay then I wonder what the point of his character is and why they introduced the idea to the audience in the first place. Also, why did they bother replacing Matt. Do we really need another straight jock? Sam doesn't even have a viable love interest since all the female characters have an endgame ship -- Rachel/Finn, Quinn/Puck, Tina/Artie and, most likely, Brittany/Santana -- except Mercedes and (mild spoiler alert) they said they are hoping to use the Glee Project to cast a boyfriend for her next season. Ahh, I just want the hiatus to be over so we can get some answers. |
