Movie Poster Collectors/Collections Discussion

People collect things---that is no news flash. My big passion is movie posters. Oh man! i am a movie poster addict! I have literally hundreds (thousands??). I have more than 200 that are framed and have hundreds and hundreds more that are NOT framed. I truly am an addict.

I prefer the older posters, pre-photoshop when the posters employeed real ART. I mostly dig horror but have all kinds of posters. I made this video a few years back to showcase my framed posters (I've since framed many more).

Check it out or dont. Maybe you'll see what the attraction is--maybe not. But I'd rather look at something like the poster for FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE SPACE MONSTER than the Mona Lisa any time!

Cheers!

I love posters. Very expensive to frame.

Zowie! I am surprised to note that anyone bothered to watch the video...let alone comment on it. Ha! Not that anyone cares, but some of my latest poster acquisitions in the last month or so include such long-wanted titles like "WESTWORLD", "ROSEMARY'S BABY", "MARK OF THE DEVIL" and a James Bond double feature poster for "DR. NO" and "FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE."

Cool collection. I don't collect a lot of posters, just ones I really like and might actually put up. Most recently I got a poster from the re-release of the original Ghostbusters. Since it was only a 3 week release I thought it might cool to have and somewhat rare

Wow, that's quite a collection. I love the idea of collecting movie posters as art.

I am really addicted to my poster collection---eeek! My most recent poster acquisitions include the rarely seen late 70s horror flick "TOURIST TRAP" and an even rarer early 80s 3D flick called "Rottweiler Dogs of Hell"...and a few of the Italian sword and sandal flicks from the 60s. And I've got my eye on others as I write this. Ha!
