Favorite foreign movies.

Not many people like watching foreign films because we have to read the subtitles most of the time. But, to me its all about the story and the characters that fascinates me the most.

So, Here are few of the movies i've seen so far and really like:

1. Pan's Labyrinth (2006)
In the fascist Spain of 1944, the bookish young stepdaughter of a sadistic army officer escapes into an eerie but captivating fantasy world.- Spain.

2. The Lives of Others (2006)

3. Life Is Beautiful (1997)

6.Daisy Diamond (2007)
A tragic story about Anna who dreams of one thing only: making it as an actress. She moves from Sweden to Copenhagen to pursue her dream. But fate has something else in store for her. Though she struggles to give her 4 month old daughter a good start in life, she ultimately fails to unite her dream of acting with a safe and loving environment for her child, culminating in a desperate act that has fatal consequences for Anna and her daughte- Denmark.

7. A Separation (2011)
A married couple are faced with a difficult decision - to improve the life of their child by moving to another country or to stay in Iran and look after a deteriorating parent who has Alzheimer's disease.-Iran.

8. Bicycle Thieves (1948)
A man and his son search for a stolen bicycle vital for his job.-Italy.

9.Spirited Away (2001) - Animation movie.
In the middle of her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches, and monsters; where humans are changed into animals; and a bathhouse for these creatures.-Japan.

10.The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)
A bounty hunting scam joins two men in an uneasy alliance against a third in a race to find a fortune in gold buried in a remote cemetery.-Italy/Spain.

11.Amélie (2001)
Amelie, an innocent and naive girl in Paris, with her own sense of justice, decides to help those around her and along the way, discovers love.-France/Germany.

12.The Artist (2011)
A silent movie star meets a young dancer, but the arrival of talking pictures sends their careers in opposite directions.-France/Belgium.

13.Forbidden Games (1952)

14.The Kid with a Bike (2011)
Abandoned by his father, a young boy is left in a state-run youth farm. In a random act of kindness, the town hairdresser agrees to foster him on weekends.-Belgium.

15.Tomboy (2011)
A 10-year-old girl, settling into her new neighborhood outside Paris, is mistaken for a boy and has to live up to this new identity since it's too late for the mistake to be clarified.- France.

sorry this is probably the longest list I've made. But, i really love great movies.
Anyways, Have you seen any of these?

The Emigrants 1971

These movies are about the first Swedes to come to America in the 1850s.
