I agree with Chaplin being a highly underrated movie for sure. I find in the world of comedies that 'Dirty Work' (1998) is very under appreciated and a lesser known heist/spy movie called 'Ronin' is one of my favorites. It stars Robert De Niro but almost nobody is familiar with it.

How is CHAPLIN underrated? It got nominated for 3 Oscars, including for star Robert Downey Jr for Best Actor. But I guess you mean underrated as it's not talked about much now?

And 11 nominations. But,I really couldn't care less about the awards. There are many deserving people who have never won or even been nominated.

Robert Downey Jr. would be remembered as the washed up nearly-man of film, notable for his excesses rather than his talent. But there was a reason Jon Favreau cast him as Tony Stark, taking a seemingly massive chance on him. That reason is his extraordinary acting ability, showcased to perfection in Richard Attenborough’s sumptuous biography of the remarkable Charlie Chaplin.
So, Yes i'm talking about the audience and the critics.

"Its kind of a funny story" is also a really great movie, its surprising to me that the movie got only two nominations.

'The Science of Sleep'. I love Charlotte Gainsborough (sp?). Gael Garcia Bernal (or did I twist those names as well) is fantastic and it's very imaginative and strange. Kind of like a foreign 'time bandits'.

Some Guy Who Kills People! This it the true definition of a sleeper! If you haven't seen it, which most likely you haven't, it definitely worth picking up at your local redbox and giving it a try. You won't be disappointed!
