Sorry no to Dixie Chicks and some of us still love President Bush. Martina McBrides songs say something important. George Strait still the country MAN, Like Kellie Pickler after watching Awards Show last week. She broke down an cryed because the song was about her Mother who abandand her. Saw real emotion and tears.

Country music tells real life stories that you can relate to. Country music stars are REAL people who just sing about what they know. Carrie Underwood is young and fresh and if you saw the Awards last week you saw that everyone loves her. When she sang Remember Me and came on stage with that yellow prom dress on she looked like Senior Prom. and showed she was not all about modern style that she could compete with the best of them.

I like some country music. I get into Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood. I also like some of the older country music.

I don't listen to alot of country, but I do listen to The Avett Brothers, who are a local band. They are real promising talent. Their newest CD is called "Emotionalism". I never thought I'd be the type of person to like country music, but their songs are really addicting.

I don't like it, but I can appreciate the talent that most country artists have. I went to a Reba concert and had a great time despite not being familiar with most of her songs. When someone has enough ability, they can entertain you even if it's your first time seeing them.

I don't get to listen to much country since my kids 'took over' the radio...but I still try to keep up with who's doing what... Too often, I discover that I am failing miserably!
