Been to any concerts lately?

There are so many great shows this summer. I just went to Warped Tour for the 7th time. In Spetember I am going to Cruefest for the 2nd time.

Earlier this summer (in the same week) I saw No Doubt/Paramore and Taylor Swift in concert. Very different, but both were amazing.

I saw Jenny Lewis ( ) on June 29th. The theatre was small and we were in the third row so she was like right there. It was awesome and she sounded perfect.

Only concert I've been to was at the beginning of June and it was New Kids on the Block.

Walt Disney puts on many open air concerts of big band, jazz, 50-60-70's, holiday themed, school bands, so there is always some concert. I enjoy music.

I've been on my own little US tour this spring/summer, haha.

May 1-3 I went to Bamboozle in New Jersey. The following Friday, I was in Ypsilanti, Michigan (almost 2 hours away) for Fall Out Boy's Believers Never Die Part Deux show and that night, we stayed at a hotel and drove to Chicago, Illinois the next morning for the same concert and spent a bit of time exploring the city. A week after that, we saw the same concert yet again in Ohio. It wasn't so much for the concerts we did it for, it was moreso for the experience; I went with three friends who I intend to buy a townhouse in Chicago with and we were testing the waters of being out on our own and really figuring out what we want to do. Plus, the bands FOB did the tour with - Hey Monday, All-Time Low, Cobra Starship, and Metro Station - for the most part, are amazing.

I skipped out on Warped Tour (yesterday) this year because there was only one band I liked and I figured I could save the money for more concerts later in the year.

Monday, I'll be headed back to Ohio to see a show for Cobra Starship's summer small venue tour. August 14-19, I'll be in Chicago yet again for a Fall Out Boy/Blink 182 concert and to explore the city again.

Chloe you rock!!!! Wow I wish I had the time to go to more concerts but unfortunately I just started a new job and have no time off (or is it fortunately since this job is so much better then the last one)

I actually had a great time at Warped, the lineup wasn't the best as in previous years but Flogging Molly, Bad Religion, Less Than Jake and Underoath were worth it. NOFX was actually a disappointment this year.

I am looking forward to Cruefest 2. Last year I missed Trapt at Cruefest 1 because they opened the show and I was outside tailgating. This year I am looking forward to seeing Drowning Pool though so I'll be sure to get in early in case they open. I've seen Godsmack, Crue and Theory of a Deadman already but I can't wait to see them again.

I went to see Dream Theater last week, as they headlined the Progressive Nation '09 tour. It's not a very well known bill, but I still enjoyed myself

i saw the jonas brothers on 7/23 and 7/24 they were amazing, they really know how to put on a show especially with all the lights, and the trampoline and all the opening bands. And in two weeks i see Demi Lovato in concert again i'm excited

I actually won tickets for last night from Fuse TV and JC Penney to see a band called Hockey. Has anyone ever heard of them? Well, I was debating whether or not to go as the show was 2 hours from home and with gas, tolls and parking it would have cost me close to $100 for tix that cost $10 apeice. Unfortunately, the decision was made for me when I was told on Friday that I was no longer needed at my job where I've worked for 2 months because the girl whose job I had (she quit abruptly after looking for another job behind the owners backs) wanted to come back and since she is a buddy of the owners I was expendable. Ironically, the job she left this place for was my job at the place I left because I hated it. she lasted about 6 weeks because she hated it too. How lousy is that!!!!! They told me my work was exceptional and they'd rehire me if they have any openings but for now this really puts a damper on my budget and concert-going for the rest of the summer. Sorry about venting in this forum but I'm kinda upset and really pissed off.

I used to go to concerts all the time...haven't had the time as much lately, but did catch the Traveling Circus & Medicine Show w/Counting Crows, Augustana, and Michael Franti & Spearhead a couple weeks ago in LA. Awesome format since they all played together and rotated sets throughout the night...no opening band type of deal...it was a really refreshing and different way to see a show so I had a really good time. Only show so far I have lined up next is to see Augustana at the Roxy during the Sunset Strip Music Festival next month on 9/11. They're my favorite live so definitely excited to see them once again
