Not quite sure about this one....haven't seen a trailer or anything...
I'm not really expecting much. The last few children's books that have been made into movies have been disappointing. For instance: Bridge to Terabitha....nothing like the book at all! Maybe they will do better with Where the Wild Things Are....it is such a beloved children's book...there will be a very big backlash if they mess it up! |

The trailer for this movie makes me weep, and I'm not ever sure why. I think it's going to be so moving though. Loved this book as a kid, and they've been working on this movie for 4 years! It's about time is all I can say! :]

they've made it a movie?!
what a wonderful idea to make this movie. i think i'm going to reserve judgment until i actually see the film though. you don't really get too much from the trailer. it does look like they decided to use more costumes rather than animation and i really appreciate that.
how exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I haven't seen the trailer yet....I'm just not getting my expectation high based on the disappointments experienced when viewing other children's-books-turned-movies. So far, I haven't been impressed (Harry Potter is the exception, can you imagine the riots if they messed that up?)

I loved this book as a child!
Saw the trailer in the cinema the other night before HBP, and it looks so cute! The little boy playing Max is adorable! The trailer does look magical...
