Paranormal Activity
After a young middle class couple settles into their new home, they become increasingly disturbed by a mysterious presence that is most active in the middle of the night. When they use a video camera to attempt to capture the strange phenomenon on tape, they are unprepared for what happens next.
It just came to theaters here today and I reeeally want to go see it, but I'm going to Chicago tomorrow morning so I won't be able to see it for ages! Has anyone seen it yet? How was it? Is anyone else interested in seeing it?

I really want to see this. They have done a great job hyping it up. I hope it lives up to expectations. Unfortunately, it hasn't made it to my area yet. Maybe soon! I would love to hear from somebody that has seen it.

I ended up seeing it while I was in Chicago, and it was TERRIFYING. The entire thing is shot on a hand-held camera by the couple, Blair Witch/Quarantine style, which does wonders for this movie, you feel like you're actually there. The commercials with the camera in the theater, showing people screaming and crying weren't exaggerating. My best friend burst into tears a couple of times, and I spent two hours after the movie shaking like a leaf. A 40-something man infront of us cried, and several people up and ran out in the middle of the movie.
It's really not for those who are easily scared, seriously. It's well-worth seeing if you're a fan of horror films, and it's definitely one that's better in theaters. Has anyone else watched it yet?

nope--but now that you've mentioned it I really want too. Because I find the new movies that are coming out now a days are not all that scary at all (at least from my p.o.v) but its probally because I don't scare easily

Has anybody seen this story?
Paranormal Activity has launched a new "gimmick" for the DVD release. You can go to the movie's website and submit your name to be included in the "special thanks" section of the film credits that will run after the movie on the DVD and Blu-Ray releases. Every name submitted will be included in the credits. The movie is doing this as a "thank you" to fans who made the film a success. Paranormal Activity |
