Random questions about the "French Connection" and "The Dream Lover."

Does anyone know the name of the poet Henri and Taylor reference during their awkward triple dinner date? I can never catch the name and I am wondering if he is a real poet.

Secondly, does anyone have the text of the poem that Ryan reads to Taylor at the bookstore during "The Dream Lover?" I need it for a story. Thanks!

Tough question! (my least favorite Townwood scene I think b/c of HM in it, LOL) I don't know off the top of my head the poet's name. If I get a chance I will watch that episode for the name.

Aww, the poem Ryan wrote....I can't remember it off the top of my head but something like...

A Haiku 5 7 5 seems to tight,
A sonnet just doesn't seem right
But Taylor this is what I can tell you today,
although there are three little words I can't say to you tonight,
stick with me because I feel someday I might.

I am glad Ryan wasn't able to get through the poem and Taylor finished it for him. More in character for them.

Yes, it was definitely in character for them, how he stumbled and she took over. It was such an effort for him to write it in the first place and be prepared to read it out in public. And it managed to put HM well and truly in his place! HM finally realised that Ryan loved Taylor and vice versa, and he could no longer manipulate Taylor's emotions.

Yes, after HM heard that poem he realized Ryan loved her yet he couldn't say it to Taylor yet. He finally left too!! And left his good bye note and the mug and bear from Ryan for her. It was a very sweet poem. So sad with the ending scene when she needed her space, but very pretty setting outside with the fireplace.

Yes, the ending was really sad. Ryan looked devastated.

Luckily in TGD Taylor came to her senses pretty quickly and realised she couldn't be without him for too long.

Plus in TGD, we got stalking Ryan. He was so happy when she agreed that the whole space thing was a bad idea as long as he didn't mind dating a lunatic, which Ryan was happy to do.

I know...Ryan was so sad there. Poor guy. So was Taylor, but she was trying to do what would be good for them in their relationship in the long run. She was too funny saving the used tooth pic.

I just think it's adorable that Ryan loved her being eccentric and a bit of a lunatic. She really cheered up his life a lot.

Hi Dani!! Glad to see you stop in! We are almost to 400.

Ryan did love all of her quirks and she made him laugh and smile and had fun with her. Ryan was able to relax around Taylor and let his guard down.

Yes, Ryan was very relaxed with her and let his guard down. The "old" Ryan would probably have freaked out about Taylor getting him together with Frank, but he went along with it because he knew that even if Taylor was interfering, she always had his best interests in mind.
