Cameras/Equipment

Whether you consider yourself a professional or an amateur, the right camera is key to creating your photography. So Im eager to know, what sort of cameras do you use?

I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX33EB Digital Camera - Black for most of my shots. Its a decent camera, with 8.1 mega pixels, and good for most scenery shots.

It looks like this:

My dad has an amazing professional camera which is really amazing for artistic shots and I have snagged it so i can take better pictures. It looks like this:

Canon EOS 400D Digital SLR Camera

So how about you?

I use a SLR Canon Rebel 2000, I believe. And I just got the new Canon Powershot 590A. My dad has a much nicer digital SLR, and so does my sister. We're all big photographers in the family. lol

Right now I have a Canon Rebel XT and a Nikon Coolpix S550. I have to say, after owning a few Canons and a couple of Nikons, I prefer the Canons!

Hello,

I`m not a professional photographer, but photography is my hobby and mostly i shoot the pictures of nature, and kids, recently i bought canon, digital camera from cyber shoppers, the picture quality and sharpness of the pictures are really fabulous, and the best part about this camera is it captures the real color, despite light difference, really nice camera.

Regards,

I'm thinking of getting the newest Nikon camera (S320) the one that has 10 Mega pixels, you can write on the screen (with a pen tool), and can scan through your images by touch-screen. Has anyone gotta it and have details/suggestions for it?

I have a question, and I figured the talented photography members could help me out with this one!

I have a Nikon CoolPix S60, the expensive touch-screen Nikon from last year It's an amazing camera and takes really nice shots, but I'm looking for something else. I've been taking pictures for a lot of local bands lately, and my camera doesn't do well with the concert lights; no matter what setting I use, no matter how I tweak it, it picks up all the lights and nothing else.

Does anyone have any experience with a camera that's good with those sort of things? I'm terrible at explaining camera issues, I know.

My mom has indicated that's willing to buy me a digital SLR. It's because she lost her tiny little Olympus, so she wants a bigger camera, and if she buys one just like it for me, then I can give her instructions. I see a lot of you have experience with Canons, but has anyone tried the Pentax DSLRs? We have some lenses from Pentax film cameras, and I've heard they'll work on the DSLRs. I'm just looking for reviews to know if that's the right choice.

I love photography but I wouldn't consider myself a photographer. All I have at the moment is a Kodak Easyshare Z712 IS. I really like it but I have the same problem at concerts with the lighting and that is one of my favorite things to do! Great for everyday picture use though. Eventually I will take the time to learn all I need to about photography and lighting and settings and get something better.
