Tamina I have to agree with lea, if you focus a bit more you can make the pictures pop and look clearer but keep trying! The 3rd shot though came out nicely!

Im taking a bunch of shots today so I'll be uploading the batch by tonight hopefully!

You guys are really talented! I've been lurking in here for ages, just haven't posted... >< But I've really enjoyed looking at all your gorgeous pictures.

I really like taking pictures too. My camera is okay, but it's not a fancy schamncy pro one. (Just a Sony Cybershot, 7.2 Mega Pixel)

But here are some I've taken that I like.

I really love taking pictures of people as well. These I thought turned out pretty good.

The duck shot, the detail on the ripple of water is very impressive. And I love the sky shot

Mars! Gorgeous nature shots! Just proves you dont need a professional camera to take great shots! I love the waterfall shot. And the kids shot is very cool. I think kids are great to photograph because you can see the emotion in their faces.

Thanks for the tip on the flag focus, SLea. I didn't delete it because I thought it might make a good background for some future bit of artwork.

I liked the photos of the Star necklace. Very much like what you might see in a jewelry catalog.

Last fall, I was at an event that Sarah Michelle Gellar attended and I was able to get one decent photo of her through the crowd of pro and amateur photographers. I'm not entirely happy with the way I cut it out, but I didn't want the heads in the way. I found a quote about acting that seemed to fit her happy look. Here it is:

Tolbeaut, I love the shot of the clouds. Very relaxing!

Twinkle, the photo of the driftwood is really cool.

Thanks to everyone who made kind comments and gave me tips.

tolbeaut Welcome to the Photography Thread... I absolutely LOVE your shots... here are my favorites.
The Duck in the water is superb b/c it is lovely in color and I love the water effects.
The Blue one is very interesting. I love the patterns in it, but what is is?
I love clouds and cats, so of course, I enjoy your cloud and cat images.

Mars 1st shame on you for not posting til now.

That is a big No No! ;P I'm kidding...

All your locations are beautiful; I esp. like the city/sea scape. I love how the colors are bright, the contract in the clouds is wonderful, and it's a lovely view.
Your People shots are adorable; esp. the 1st, 3rd, and the last one. That youngest child is too cute for words, esp. where he's 'biting' the nose of that mom/girl.
And the one of you and child are good, too.

Dee I am just so Jealous of your beach shots... not only b/c you can easily get to the beach, say unlike me, but they are shot well. The colors are nice and bright... meaning your aperture is at a good setting, b/c the objects are clear and very focussed w/ color. And too, I love the pink and blue's in your 1st, 2nd, and 4th.

And finally Tank you all for the nice and lovely comments about my belly, I mean photographs and such.
