How do you rate the finale and Michael's death?

Mchael died during his rescue for Sara from prison. I love this idea though it breaks my heart.

I felt like writers just tried to make a memorable end. Couldn't he be just happy ?

The last two episodes never aired in the U.S. and they come out on DVD July 21st, so a lot of us don't know these details yet (I do, but I cheated and wiki'd it)
