OLD THREAD

Avatar Requirements

Avatars must be 85x85 pixels.
Avatars must have a 1 pixel border, black or white.
Avatars must be saved in the .gif format.
Avatars must be still images.
Avatars must be named clearly with the category and character/actor/actress name. Example: onetreehill_peyton_05.gif.

Avatars must be zipped into folders and emailed to me. I'll go in, download them, unzip them, upload them into the FTP, and add them to the avatar list.
Please keep in mind that I have to add these all by hand, and it is now requested that no more than 30 of a show/movie and 20 of a character/actor/actress be sent. It takes way too much work, and not many are used that much. There are some acceptions, however. Please PM me with one, and be prepared to defend this, and give reasons why this should be a special circumstance to bend the rules.

Donations are now open. Please name avatars with the first three letters of your Fanbolt username, what category it would go in (movie actors, movie actress, oth, oc, supernatural, whatever) then the name of the actor/actress, show/movie, whatever. For example, I would name a Kate Bosworth avatar that I made chl-movieactress-katebosworth.gif.

Hey chloe, is it okay if I apply to the the staff? I just had one question, should the avatars be simple or with effects? I thought they would be simple in style but I thought it would be smart to ask first.

You don't need to upload your zip file. If you save all the avatars in one folder on your computer (I have a folder in My Pictures called Fanbolt Avatars), then right click on the folder, you can go down to Send To > Zipped/Compressed File (Or something along those lines). Once that's compressed, all you have to do is attach that compressed file to an email and send it to me

Edit: For the girls who asked me on MSN last night about VM avatars - I'm getting my DVD today, making my own caps, so we'll have a complete season one, and I'll track down some season two stuff

ETA: I sent it. But if you haven't gotten it, it means that it hasn't connected properly, if that is the case, could you just PM me and ask me to send it again?

But so you guys know, you don't have to email me samples... You can just PM them to me

After that, any avatars that are being added to Fanbolt galleries need to be emailed, unless otherwise specified, which I'm gonna be updating the first post soon

If you're added to the staff, I'll PM you and let you know. I haven't gone through the emails yet, as I had two projects to finish yesterday, and today, I have a doctor's appointment and then class.

Once you're on the staff, you just take requests that anyone posts in here, like the Graphics Request Thread. Someone, for example, asked for Life As We Know it avatars [several times] in the last thread, so anyone on the staff could make some. Does that make sense?
