As I mentioned on Fanforum, in anticipation of they're only having 13 episodes, they're going to have to have Rory graduate in 7.13. Otherwise, we're left with her life just kind of hanging there. It's a real shame.

I'm depressed that there will only be 13 episodes, but if it gets really good ratings on the episodes back--- is it possible they could get more? Trying to look on the bright side of things, I find that this might actually speed up the LL reunion. We'll see a crappy start to things, but tops 4 episodes, and then the reunion, getting back to focus on their shortcomings... andthen... an ending that satisfies us.
It's stupid they'll have to do such a time jump though, it sucks. Like an episode will cover more than a week or two. BUT-- this could be good for RL fans. We may see her (Rory) try to finish early, and we'll see that graduation with her heading off to go to London, and work either WITH him, or just in London in general. That way we get a happy ending for both couples. This could be a good thing... I just don't know.... Maybe the new guy will think, "Ugh, with only 13 episodes it may be not only easier to place Lorelai with Christopher, but a tad more realistic." I mean, their downfall (LL) lasted an entire season, would it be believable for them to be mostly resolved in a few episodes? I'm a LL shipper, so I'm behind them, and I think that as long as they are truly committed to each other, and honest-- they can overcome this.

so is it for sure yet that there will be 13 episodes, or is it just a rumor? i kind of think 13 episodes will be fine...to tie up loose ends instead of created new ones.

A Quick OT Note
I am in the process of upgrading and enlarging some of my servers. Consequently, episode clips and some of the graphics at the head of the thread will be offline for about 12 - 14 hours. All should be well tomorrow. The links to the Promos are unaffected. Sorry for any inconvenience - Jim ETA: - Thursday, 18 May - 0700 hrs EDT. All is back to normal.

^ It might be because Supernatural is a newer show than GG. I think a lot of people are expecting GG to end in the next few years (if not next season), so the CW might have figured that investing more in the newer show would be a better use of money.
Besides, I think 13 episodes would make for a tighter season. Less inconsistencies or plot/character flaws. I've seen other shows benefit from a shorter season. You can't really afford to have any filler episodes. All of them need to matter.

well personally I want 22 episodes. I love GG and it just doesn't seem right to have a shortened season. I'm sure DR is going to do a great job and add his own flair to the girls banter we've all come to love and cherish.
