I would love a scene where both guys are locked up in the same cell and Lorelai comes to bail them out LOL

Maybe the stay in lock up over the holidays, that would be fun, in a sick kinda way.

Maybe some REAL stuff would be put on the table. They'd fight get that out of their system, and then be able to talk. And if you're stuck in a cell with no one else to talk to, and no one to bail you out.... Maybe we'll get some honesty, or maybe we'll even see the bigger man.

When do you think Luke and Lorelai will get back together? I don't know if I can watch much more of Lorelai and Christopher, the show is just getting plain boring. I'm not at all interested in seeing Lorelai and Christopher get married.

I'm thinking C&L will split around ep 13 since we have heard nothing of his new contract and they will be sooting that ep before xMas, as for L&L I still think it would be until May sweeps before they are together officialy, depending on if S8 happens. No S8 then sooner IMO.

Because of the "smallish" thing that happens between LL in episode 10, we're given some optimism at least! I'm not at all thrilled about CL, but as I declared (off topic kinda) that one of my favorite GG episodes is when LL aren't even together (but she's single, and he's getting divorced)....I realize that although I want them together as a couple, I can't stand them not talking! I love their friendship! I love Luke! I just love how different they are, but how they have some of the same hangups, and I wanna see them work through their difficulties together, not learn, and go through journeys with old flames. Ack. When Lorelai/Luke don't interact (people can throw stones, and what not), but it ticks me off as much as Lorelai/Rory not interacting. I LOVE both of those dynamics. There's other things I enjoy, but these are my main interests on the show. It doesn't matter what other scenes there are... but if LL have some good screentime, and Lorelai and Rory. I mean, think about it, Rory was actually the second character we were introduced to on the show Luke has ALWAYS been there...

I'm glad I'll be seeing Luke tonight minus some clothing. woohoo sp.

Now that they've done all this crap (the journey with Chris), I am dreading, dreading NOT having a S8. I wanna see Lorelai and Luke together, not just their beginning. It WOULD be the beginning, for them to get back together, and to have learnt from their mistakes. I mean, Lorelai married could go on for another season or TWO.... Imagine Luke always hiding healthy stuff in the fridge, and of course, replacing reg. with decaf. I wanna see her dream come true. Then Lorelai will be fully convinced that she is pyshic.

If you watched Everwood, you get my fears about only seeing their BEGINNING. That's what happened with Nina/Andy. We saw the hints, we saw all the stuff along the way, and we knew it was coming, but it took so long for those characters to get there, and when they did, it was over. I wanted to watch the wedding, and cry... Happily of course... sappy like. I wanted to see that life that television doesn't tell as much... When those two characters beat all odds, get married... and the show DOESNT END... a la Party of Five... a la Everwood...

But it isn't just the LL storyline, or lack of, that is disappointing. It just isn't as funny. Or last week's wasn't. I'm hoping this episode is better.

You know what? I felt I'd be totally critical, and hate each and every second, but I didn't. Of course, with the absense of LL, for me, there's only so good that the episode could possibly be. But I liked the scenes with Kirk/Luke, and I liked April/Lane...I even liked crazy Susan, and that Luke knew she was crazy.... really grasped it. He gave it a chance, but it didn't work at all. But is that how far it goes? I'd be more interested to see Luke go out with someone geniunely nice, and interesting, and not questionable, and see his reactions... and see how it wouldn't work for obvious reasons.

I loved the April/Luke parts. I pratically squeeled when she called him dad. And just there was some awkwardness in the beginning, but over time, it has been replaced by a bond, and caring. And he's her DAD.

I'm kinda confused that the only people who really know about the pregnancy are Zack, and Rory.... I mean, how can she not be telling people? Arrangments need to be made! Preperation. She really needs to talk to her mother, and I can't wait to see that.

This episode didn't totally renew my faith, but it did somewhat. Even though nothing BIG happened, and there was no RL (I feel sorry for those shippers!)...It was a decent episode. An episode I could rewatch, if not just to see Luke blow bubbles. I thought Susan was pushy from the get go, but that's just me.

PLUS DR wrote this episode, didn't I see that? I was somewhat relieved.

In this episode of Gilmore Girls, kiddies, we have entered what is known as the Bizarro Gilmore World (maybe there there Rory's name is Yror). People talk and talk and talk but say nothing. Christopher and Lorelai act like lame Yale parents. Rory doesn't wear gobs and gobs of mascara. Emily and Richard are the most sensible people in the room. Seemingly reasonable swim coaches become nightmare dates in the span of ten seconds. And Sookie appreciates vegetables that come from someone other than her husband Jackson. Problem with Bizarro Worlds, though, is that they don't seem to ever make a lick of sense, and go about things the wrong way just because they can.

Can you tell that I found this episode completely irritating?

This episode just seemed to be a lot of noise to me. Everyone was louder and more shrill than usual, saying things that either didn't quite make sense or were crowbarred into the script to make a point. This is one of those episodes where you can tell that David Rosenthal and his writers strain to make things very Gilmore-esque, and ultimately fail.
There were a couple of good moments: The open, where Lorelai tricks Emily by calling and leaving a fake phone message, even though Emily was on the other side of the phone (the CW ruined this by showing the whole thing in the promos, but whatever). Granted, it didn't have much to do with the episode's plot, but funny is funny. Seeing Lane interact with April was fun -- I liked how Luke said Lane was "hanging out" with his daughter, when really she was babysitting. Lane's interactions with April seemed natural, mainly because April's just a young version of her best friend Rory. And Paris' bragging about barely working but being on the front page anyway was classic Paris.

But the rest of it? Pheh. So all of a sudden, Kirk is unhappy with Lulu and is happy to see Luke being a lossey goose. "No one cares where you are or where you're going!" he gleefully tells Luke. It might as well be a Bat signal to ol' Luke, telling him to move on with his life. Of course, he's not allowed to find a nice woman right away, so that's how April's swim coach turns from a flirty if clingy potential date into every bad dating cliche ever created. I've seen more subtle writing on Two and a Half Men.

And so what if Sookie used some other dude's vegetables? Is it enough to build an entire subplot around? I will say, the good thing about that plot is that we were able to see Jackson for the first time this season, if only briefly; I was starting to think that Sookie abandoned her husband and kids and just lived at the Dragonfly. Wonder if Jackson Douglas (who knew that Jackson was played by a guy named Jackson?) was pacing around his apartment for the first five weeks, wondering when Rosenthal was going to call him onto the set.

It was nice to see April calling Luke "Dad." But I just wish Luke and Lorelai would interact a little more. The more they remain apart, the more I start to wonder if The Powers That Be are ever going to put them back together. And, while Lor and Chris are cute together, it just doesn't feel right that Luke and Lor, who were such good friends, are spending what is likely the show's last season as far apart from each other as two people can get in Stars Hollow.

Notice I've been avoiding talking about the "Yale Parents Weekend" plot. That's because there's really not much to say. Lorelai thinks the weekend is lame but goes because Chris wants to be all Dad-like. Yawn. She sees Maw and Paw Gilmore, who have gone to this weekend every year Rory's been there, and gets jealous and angry. Double Yawn. And Chris goes crazy and tries to overcompensate when he feels guilty for not being the Dad some others at Yale were. Zzzzzzz....

Dunno... it just seemed like we've tilled this ground many times before. Nothing new, nothing that advanced the story. And really, not all that funny. Even Lorelai's attempts at learning French seemed like a tired TV cliche. When I went to Paris, I knew not a syllable of French beyond the usual greetings and words for alcoholic beverages, and I got along fine; Lorelai feeling the need to study French tapes for her trip with Chris seemed like an unnecessary flourish to me.

Oh, well. Rosenthal and company took a mulligan this week. Next week is the proposal (and, from the spoilers we've been hearing, maybe even more). How silly will Gilmore get? I'm curious to find out.
Sums up the season for me, still waiting to see the ep, in about 12 hours!

Dont know if anyone posted this yet but this is from Ask Ausiello:

Question: It seems that there has not been a single positive spoiler for fans of Luke and Lorelai as a couple. Be kind to us — give us something good to look forward to.— Maureen
Ausiello: I finally have something for you. There's a moment coming up later this month between Luke and Lorelai that is so moving and poignant that it'll have Christopher seeing green. Two hints: said moment occurs outdoors, and it involves an infant. Also, I hear Episode 13 marks a turning point in the Luke/Lorelai/Christopher triangle. And Richard's health crisis plays a critical role.

Question: Enough about Lorelai, Luke and Christopher. Can you throw Rory and Logan fans a crumb?— Sandy
Ausiello: Huge-ass prattle: Logan's moving home! At least closer to home. He's going to accept a job at an Internet start-up in New York.

First of all, we were initially told it would be something small, not something big. Second of all, I assumed the "infant" would be a child of 13. Maybe MA shouldn't change the words he's been told. Someone says CHILD, KID, do NOT change that to infant. The only current infant on the show would be Gigi. Except, if they're talking about Liz's birth. When does Liz give birth? Is it episode 10? I just hope that it isn't like Lorelai is just there, and drives a shaky Luke to the hospital. I want HIM to call HER darnit. Besides, if she broke something, maybe she'll need help keeping it still until they get to the hospital. If it's her leg, he'll be carrying her.... Awwww.....

I think I need to watch F&S again. Like right now.

Lancer1993, some episodes have been better than others. The episode before last tanked (IMO) while others loved it. So far, I haven't been too impressed with this season, but I'm trying to stand back and enjoy anyway. Last night's episode, although not THE BEST (as, after all, CHRIS COMPARED HIMSELF TO SUPER MAN HAHAHA he's not super anything)...There were times when I giggled. Like when Lorelai told Christopher to walk 50 feet in front of her ( 50 miles, and that's where I want Christopher too!). Or, the zigzag comment.

"With the help of a midwife, Liz delivers her baby in her own house" and it would be in episode 9, so the infant can be her baby...

I think it's as someone spec'd awhile back. That Luke will need Lorelai's help with an infant delivering, I think was the spec and that he would run to Lorelai. I think that person spec'd that it would be Lane's baby(ies) that it was by. (I'm sorry I cant remember who it was who spec'd this - sorry)

I wonder what's up with Logan moving back to America. I know they are planning that big Logan/ROry fight about spoiled rich people, but if he is living in the states now maybe it's not a break up fight like some of us spec'd.
