And I thought I was bitter a few weeks ago..
 You know, I'm a javajunkie, but I actually fear how they'll develop LL during an 8th season. I know many would like it, but I really don't wanna see Lorelai's marriage with Luke or Lorelai getting pregnant and all the happily ever after bit... that's the part I like to imagine and imagine only. I'd love an 8th season fill with more conflicts, but I'm not so sure if I'd like the cute-sweet only. I don't know, I think I'll be more supportive when we are sure Alexis agrees with it, I don't like the idea of having Rory away for most of the season.

The stuff that dosen't have to carry on. He has a PLOT PROBLEM. He cannot be subtle. .....And the reason we find couples who are together, problem free is because they are absoluately WRITTEN boring! I couldn't stand RL of the last episode. I winced the entire time she told him about her CRUSH. So she fumbled her words, so she blushed, who CARES? I realize the POINT, DSR, but it doesn't need to be made so OBVIOUS. Rory and Logan love each other, and not only that, but they TRUST each other. Rory is NOT her mother, and their relationship is completely different from that of her mother's. .....It's boring because they're not having any NORMAL relationship difficulties. There's not always another person to the triangle. It's about getting caught up in your life, and taking other people for granted. It's when you assume something you shouldn't have. I have a healthy relationship, but me and my boyfriend aren't LALA all the time, and just because I trust him, and he trusts me, doesn't mean we need to talk about our meaningless crushes, or, perhaps the people we just really admire. I thought it was silly, and I thought it was unneeded. It'd be better if there was some confusion. He's there, and she's here, and they had a roughish patch at the beginning, but that was it. ....It's the lack of Rory storyline. It's the meshing of two people who could not help but mesh. There is NO underlying problem because there ceases to be any lingering personalities, or personal whims. UGH I miss the Gilmore Girls. I miss the episodes I watched 2903840382 times. Will there be ONE like that this season? Will there be one that makes me laugh, like really laugh? ....A smile here, and smile there. DSR really just can't do Drama, and he can't do Comedy either. It is not a dramedy. It's a shadow of what it used to be.  There's too much lying on the next episode, and I'm sorry for being negative. I don't mean to be. But we speculate here on what should be, what we imagine to happen, but we're setting it FAR too high. We should just make her expectations a little lower, but how can we, is it wrong to expect so much? They HAVE gave so much. susan--- I may be bitter, but it is unlikely I will leave. Sometimes the bitterness leaves though. Good to see you posting!  And I'm glad we all share the same fears, except, who will be our voice of reassurance? That small little voice that tells me everything will work itself out? Maybe tomorrow I'll be optimistic, but not today.

teamluke - I agree, outside the TS I have still to watch last week again which is a shame since last season I remember watching ep 3-4 times during the week.
As for Rory's storyline or lack of one they seem to be jumping in with a BIG problem when that is not really need, have the problems be he's spending too much time working, normal stuff, But I guess that's just not interesting enough for TV. Even if LL didn't have enough issues for meaty drama before, they sure do now. The pain and awfulness of these two years happened, however OOC. If they married, those wounds would re-open, those fears would re-surface, again and again for years to come. DSR's "more ready to be with each other" spin is nonsense. How would they interact now? If the writers had the guts to actually tackle family drama, the real challenge would be how to inject banter or any light-hearted conflicts and make them believable. It's hard to imagine LL bickering over paint samples or builders any more. Quote:
