I am SUPER PUMPED!!
The ghostfacers are A M A Z I N G hahah their segments are some of my favorites from the show.

And besides, the trio were some of THE BEST charectors from buffy "villain" wise. If you could even classify them as actual villains. They brought some much much needed comic relief to the show, especially after buffy was brought back to life and the show got just randomly depressing half the time. Although I would have to disagree with you on the facers being like them. Maybe in the way that they are sort of nerdy, but the trio was more super-lame-nerds who were trying to be evil, and the facers are more super-awesome-nerds who think they are cool trying to be good. The trio knew they were socially awkward, the ghostfacers have no clue.

I actually like the GF more than the Trio, because Warren was pure evil. He was the only truly homicidal of the three of them, and terribly misogynistic. If you're male, maybe that doesn't bother you as much, but it was nauseating for me. But no, I didn't approve of what Willow did to him. I just didn't like seeing him....ever.

I loved the Mayor best on Buffy, because he appeared to be the exact opposite of what he was, which is far more chilling. But it was funny that he was so prissy in so many ways. "Don't swear!" then in nearly the same breath, he could say, "Kill your friends." Harry G turned in an excellent performance during that season. I liked "Glory" too, pretty much for the same reasons - she's so unlikely, too - a valley girl hell-god - only in the land of Whedon.
