Sookie and Bill Relationship

OCCUPATIONS: waitress (Sookie) + sexy vampire (Bill) Bill is super sexy COMPATIBILITY RATING: A billion!! =) QUIRKS: that biting thing VULNERABILITIES: he keeps secrets (in CH books) and is big on vengeance (in CH books). He is also very possessive; she tends to enter super-sonic bitch mode and kiss other guys STRUGGLES: societal judgments, "racism" against vamps, age difference: independence vs experience. STRENGTHS: have saved each others' life at least once, so a strong bond  Bring out the best in one another. Make a good team. Both try to work for the good.THEIR BACKSTORY: Sookie was taken with Bill because she couldn't read his mind... SOOKIE AND BILL TOGETHER Stronger together than apart can always get over any argument which shows they really do love eachother Would do anything for the other willing to die for one another. HOTNESS!! Both are outsiders who feel at home together Vampire Bill is hotter than fire Bill is so sexy and strong Bill is tender as well as sexy Together "against all odds" REASONS TO BE TOGETHER 1.Bill and Sookie are HOT HOT HOT together. The tenderness between them, the way they look at each other… They are perfectly suited in size and character. # * S p A r K s * # electrify them – and the viewers! [No denying that in that hour after True Blood, many a husband/boyfriend were happy happy happy, LOL! ] The off-screen relationship pulses into their roles, and they sizzle together like no other couple on television 2.In all important ways, Bill loves Sookie. And she can trust him. This makes them good for each other. 3.Bill brought Sookie back to life as well as risked his own life to save her. Not to mention Sookie saved his life the first night they met. 4.He is the only man that she can be herself with. 5.He would and does risk his life for her. 6.Sookie smells like sunshine, and Bill enjoys that. 7.He's much older and she's quite sheltered, but they totally "get" one another. 8.She teases him to exasperation; he kisses her to distraction. 9.Gran loved her some Bill. If your grandmother loves a guy, hang on to him! 10.They're a twist on the "boy and girl next door" tale, with biting and hot sex! 11.They have both admitted that they love each other. 12. Bill is so protective over Sookie, he risks his own life to try and save her from danger. 13. Bill in the show is completley different 2 bill in the books, he loves sookie and sookie loves him, they didn't last in the books because sookie didn't love him, but in the show she does so they shoulod last. + Bill is super HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 14.Sexy Vamp Bill + Smart Human Sookie= Electrifying relationships If they seperated the whole show would be ruined. REASONS NOT TO BE TOGETHER 1. NONE! Other than if Alan Ball follows the books faithfully… then we know what happens to Bill and their relationship. But happily, so far AB has forged his own path == he has taken the bare bones of the CH characters, fleshed them out, and delved even deeper to give them heart and soul! And, AB LIKES Bill !! So there is grand chance that he will continue to keep Bill in the group-five forefront of the Vampire activity.. and if Sookie strays with the paint can “Dutch Boy”?? Faith that AB will unite Bill and Sookie again… !!! 2.Bill is much older;Sookie is immature. The experience gap leads to misunderstanding (which should also disqualify Eric). 3.Sookie does not understand vampire politics nor does she have patience for the dealings of the supernatural which in turn gets in the way of their relationship (which should also disqualify Eric). 4.None - they are perfect together. 5.Bill may be too much man(pire) for an innocent like Sookie. 6.Sookie has shown a lack of patience and faith, ie kissing Sam after Bill was gone for a few days while on trial. 7.Jessica, Uncle Bartlett...there are a lot of secrets rumbling under the surface. 8.Who am I kidding? They're perfect and should have cute little fangbabies together. 9.Sookie's naivete will likely cause them to split up in Season Two, but the intensity of their love will bring them back together... Thank YOU, Alan Ball for recognizing FAN LOVE of Bill Compton, and reworking the stories to expand Bill's role!! (See the current thread: Vote for S1 Favorite Character== Billl clearly in the lead!!!) 10.Having Jessica in the mix will cause problems between Bill and Sookie... especially because Bill is now "father" of this wildchild vamp! 11. Because Sookie is Bill's & Eric is older than Bill, Bill has 2 do what Eric says, and therefore Sookie has 2 do what Eric says. I must say, Sookie & Bill's relationship in the books is far less seductive than it is on "True Blood." I genuinely root for them to stay together when I watch the show. That's probably because Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have such fantastic chemistry that they light the screen on fire whenever they're together.

WARNING: I am still working on it, on season 4 so please be cautious of your responses to this post.
I must say that at the beginning of the series I found them to resemble Edward and Bella a great deal. Bill's possessiveness, Sookie's draw to him(although she's way more believable due to his blood in her being partial cause), and how she is attracted to her inability to read his mind. At the same time though he made her feel safe, not only from danger such as other vampires but also to open up to in ways she's never opened up to anyone. He was always there for her at times when no one else was. As it left season 3 and entered 4 the relationship devolved a great deal away from the cliches. Bill reverted back to his loyalties to the other vampires and lost more and more control with Sookie until in a near dead state he nearly drank her to death. On top of that he was never the innocent prince charming he entered the show as. Finding out that their first meeting was not chance, that was sent to he was quite a blow. Then you have Eric who is trying to convince Sookie that he cares more for her than anyone in her life including Bill. I kind of like this angle because it's smart while at the same time bummed by it because I do love them as a couple. But no matter what anyone says, whether Sookie wants to be with him or not he is always devoted to protecting her, and has always respected her feelings both good and bad. She in turn has never stopped loving him even after his worst offenses. Even when apart the love is still there. That's my favorite thing about them. I have not read the books but Essy makes it clear that they don't end well, I do hope the show will take it in a different direction. I love them as a couple.
