I have to agree with the pro-Eclipse girls. They're rather unrealistic books. But at the same time I think a lot of the actual emotions of the books are realistic. I don't know about any of you, but I was kind of invisible at my old high school; I went to Laguna Hills High in California for a few months, and I bet if you talked to any of those people, they wouldn't remember who I was, but when I moved back to Michigan and started to going to Fitzgerald High, I was the most fascinating thing in the world because I hadn't grown up with them. Like they said in the movie, I was a new shiny toy for the boys. So that aspect, at least, is not unrealistic.

Also, Bella never cheated on Edward. Yes, she kissed Jacob, but (unrealistic, I know! ) Jacob tricked her into it, and Bella is kind of dim and fell for it. Yeah, she's a bit dumb, but she didn't want to kiss him, and she doesn't love him that way. Of course in a book with vampires she'll get forgiven. By Edward, at least.

As for Edward spying, that is creepy. He's a vampire, he's a little bit odd... but Bella's never had this kind of attention, and that kind of dedication and interest from such a gorgeous guy probably helps overlook how creepy that is. Again, it's only a book, about vampires and werewolves. Not very high on the reality scale.

Exactly. How can a book about vampires and werewolves be realistic?
I do like more Eclipse than New Moon. New Moon its just about Jacob drooling over Bella. Please, as if she hasn't said that she loves Edward enough!

I agree, for me, New Moon was really slow - plot wise - but Eclipse was really exciting!

I didnt like Eclipse very much either
BUT do read Breaking Dawn
NONE of the books are realistic
so if your looking for reality
you looked in the wrong place
but Breaking Dawn does get better

I think Eclipse was very exciting with all the new born army and all that. I enjoyed a lot more than New Moon. I think it was really funny when Edward and Jacob kept fighting about Bella, although Jacob annoyed the hell out of me! But I think you know already know that...
Eclipse is my second favourite behind Twilight.

^ I completely agree with you, it was so exciting with all the newborn stuff, itll make a great movie! Jacob, bless him, did annoy me a bit too, i can relate to Bella so much and want her to be with edward, I can see why she clings on to Jacob but he needs to let go

I am 31, and a HUGE Twilight fan. Hearing you talk about Eclipse, I cant help but think that you only looked at the words at face value, and ignored or didnt notice the emotion and nuances behind them.
I've been recently converted to a Twilight fan, it hasn't even been a week, and I'm about to start BD, and so excited (but sad for the series to end). I've been kinda guilty about it, having so many crazed young fans (not that I'm old by any means), but Heather, thanks for stating your age. Some people look down on the series, but it draws me in, so completely. lol

It's a tough call between the debate of the two books New Moon and Eclipse. I find myself kinda torn between them. At first I was scared to read New Moon, knowing that it was more Jacob based, then Edward, but I totally came around to Jacob. And in Eclipse, I felt just about as torn between the guys (in some ways) as Bella was, although I'm a BE shipper, I can still seem to appreciate JB's friendship (and sometimes more, heh) completely.

There are more 'older' Twilight fans that you think, I know some myself.

I have come to appreciate NM with time, but its still my least fav book. I know that Jacob had to be properly introduced, and NM in a way is about that. I even feel bad about Jake not getting anything, but what can I say, I'm team Edward, so maybe I'm a little bit biased.

Really?? Hm.

I'm still reading New Moon, lol.
But I think I need to finish the whole saga so I can appreciate it.
I'm just wondering why does he absolutely hate Eclipse.
Don't expect it to be realistic because it's not a true story.
Fiction. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think this was a great book..
I'm currently reading this one..
At the first part of the story, I think it's really boring..
But the latter part is exciting!
Wolves teaming up w/ vampires is so cool..

Eclipse left me horribly depressed, but in a way that also left me amazed that the author could evoke such emotion. I've never been depressed becuase of a book. But the action was amazing and once you finish Breaking Dawn you'll see that it was all worth it.
