USA has renewed Psych for a seventh season. The show, starring James Roday and Dule Hill, is USA's longest-running scripted series on the air and will get a sixteen-episode seventh season later this year.
It was Roday and Hill who actually made the announcement to Psych fans first through Facebook and Twitter. "We are always trying to find ways to reward our PSYCH brand ambassadors for their loyalty and passion and social media plays a critical role in how we connect with the people who matter most - the fans," said USA Co-Presidents Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel. "It was exciting to deliver this historical news to them first and before traditional media."
The Psych's sixth season returns on February 29th.
