Meri has talked about her miscarriage before on Sister Wives, but in tonight's episode she actually goes into the details of what happened four years ago. After trying to have a second child for twelve years, Meri and Kody discovered they were pregnant again. However, after visiting the doctor at ten weeks into the pregnancy, the doctors could not find the baby's heartbeat. At that point, Meri and Kody were told that it was a miscarriage.

Now, four years after the devastating news, Meri and Kody pay a visit to the fertility doctors to explore options for having another baby. This comes after Robyn reached out to Meri offering to be a surrogate and carry her baby.
